An excellent alternative to Scangrip or Astro lights for auto detailing
These are excellent lights. I'm an auto detailer and I use these to highlight defects in exterior paintwork and illuminate the interior to help me get a better finished product. I spent two days compounding, polishing, and sealing my work van. In the pictures, you can see how well they show the flaws and illuminate the panel as I'm working.Right out of the box, I was pleasantly surprised at their fit and finish. These feel substantial in your hands, made of good quality, solid materials, and they have a nice heft to them for their size. Not cheap or chintzy at all. The magnetic base is a welcome feature because I can stick them to my metal rolling cart or the garage door supports as I make my way around the car. I bought a pair and cycled between the two every four hours or so, keeping them running on the first "medium" setting. Also, I have to say that going cordless feels great. My workspace is safer and less cluttered now.The only suggestion I would make to improve these would be to develop a mounting bracket (like the one on the underhood bar) that I can screw directly to each side of the tripod T bar. That way I could slide the lights in and out of the bracket without having to unscrew the lights each time.Jon, Trepmall, and everyone involved with these lights did a great job. I'm excited to see what they have in store next.

Rugged, dependable and color blind person's best friend
Writing this after receiving my second Toolsand 1200 Lumen Rechargeable worklight. My first order for the same model arrived in May 2018. The reason I ordered another is because I am totally satisfied with the performance of this product. The first one is still up and running fine, and it was a tremendous help during Hurricane Florence (when we were without power for 8 days).Thankfully, during and after the hurricane I was running a generator, so I was able to keep the worklight fully charged. When a tree fell on our house I went out with this worklight in driving rain to inspect damage. The rain did not affect performance. Also, during that time, the worklight took a few tumbles. Dropping from about waist high thanks to my clumsiness. There are a lot of plastic parts on this thing and I’ve been treating it with great care not to put stress on the body for fear of cracking it. But, during the hurricane it got knocked around a bit, yet it still works like a charm. I’m not saying it’s military spec hardened—just that it’s not super fragile either. Now the best part—the charging procedure. The Toolsand 1200 worklight uses a "lights on/blinking" status indicator. This is a godsend for the many men in the potential client pool who are slightly color blind (like me). Most cheaper chargers use the old "red/green/amber single light" approach, but for slightly color-blind men, we can't make out the difference.I specify gender because of the prevalence of color-blindness by adult males as opposed to females. My specific version of color blindness is one of the most common among men. I can’t see the difference between red and green LED’s. Don’t ask me why, but thankfully I CAN see the difference between red and green traffic lights. If you have the same trouble seeing charging status lights – the Toolsand 1200 eliminates all possible confusion.Overall, this is a great product—evidenced by the fact that I have now purchased a second unit.Ohh- and when set to full power—it’s amazingly bright. Most uses do not require such brightness, but it comes in handy (especially during hurricanes).

Santa can see this light from the North Pole.... :)
I received my 1000 Luman Toolsand Rechargeable Led Work Light. I originally purchased it to attach it to my snowblower, so I had additional lighting capabilities. I liked that it has a magnetic base for easy removal on the snowblower and or if I should choose to use the light for other purposes. I have an 8' x 12' trailer and this light will be used on that when I need lightening at night! This light is perfect for both situations. My honest review is as follows. The light was delivered in a timely manner from Amazon. Upon opening the box, the outside of the box was very nicely illustrated with info regarding the light. Information pamphlet was also included inside. What wasn't mentioned was the cold temp rating when using the light in cold situations. Remember … I wanted to use it on my snowblower. I contacted Toolsand with this questioning within a day of purchasing and they responded almost immediately. They took the time to contact the manufacturer and found this info for me! They went way beyond to answer my questions. Below is the response from them. Note: I will be adding the temperature information to the product description as soon as I have everything from the manufacturer. I do have a few bits of information regarding the battery that you should find useful:1. Do not charge the battery when the temperature is below 32 deg F (0 deg C).2. Do not discharge the battery when the temperature is below -4 deg F (-20 deg C). What this means is the light can be used to -4 degrees. The light will work even in colder temp's, but the battery life will not be as long.So upon opening the box, this light seems very durable, well constructed, feels good in the hand. Like the handle. You can tell it is a quality light not too big and bulky. The battery was at a 90% charge. I turned it on and OMG, it was bright. I hit the high button and I did see a difference. It was noticeable, however, all I will say is Santa can prob see low or high settings at the North Pole. It has a nice wide, round light pattern shinning a pattern infinitely. The battery indicating bars on the back of the unit is very bright and well read! I like that too. I plan on testing this light on a full battery charge, in cold temp's around 30 degrees and will post my results A. Low setting: Light lasted about 3 hours. B: Did not run the test on high.Charged took 3.5 hrs inside to reach 100% full charge. Manual says 4.0 hours. I did not run light inside a warm setting to see how long it lasted. I believe the manual said 14.0 hours. In a cold setting, it was severely reduced. Battery can not be removed on this particular 1000 lumen model. I suggest buying the 1200 lumen instead if you want to add a 2nd battery, so you always have a backup. The magnet seems weak when placed on metal. Would like to see a stronger magnet on the base with more adhesion! It works! Company is actually working on a list of improvement on the next version, as I write this!!!. I would like to see the light on a swivel where you can get a full 360-degree rotation of light or at least 45 degrees front motion. How the light is designed now, you cant get the light to shine in the 2nd quadrant. I would like if it tilted downward 45 degrees toward the snow in front of the auger when in use. It does put out the light...This is just an issue because of how I want to use the light for my purpose. My overall opinion is that I would buy another if not being able to swap out batteries, so you always have a back up isn't an issue. Not a huge deal to me, but might be to you? I would go with the 1200 lumen line. About the same price and even better. Do not know if it comes with magnets. You will want to contact the 3rd party. Trust me ... you will hear a response almost immediately. The 3rd party selling this, Trepmall, LLC is fantastic. They go the extra mile to accommodate any question you have regarding any product they sell... KUDOS to them, Thank you, Jon!
