Good replacement but very soft tactile feel
This encoder pack is a great value, but as stated in another review the tactile feel of this is much softer than the encoder I replaced (ROG Chakram Core), which is great for web browsing but not my preference for gaming as this will cause accidental scroll selections.I also had some of the encoders with the side tabs deformed sligntly, but they were able to be realigned without issue.

Great Replacement Scroll Wheel Encoder
This is an exact replacement for my IOGear GKM561R wireless trackball keyboard scroll wheel. Works perfectly after installation and I have no complaints. The detent mechanism is very light and scrolling is virtually silent. If your mouse or other scroll wheel device sometimes scrolls the opposite direction than you tell it to, this encoder is likely the issue because these do wear out over time, as does anything with moving parts. These are pretty universally compatible, with the caveat that there are different heights installed in different devices. The 9mm height in this case is measured from the PC board to the center of the hexagonal hole. You'll have to order the height that matches your old one. Some basic soldering skills and equipment are required for installation.Edit: After a couple of months of fairly heavy daily use, this encoder is doing an excellent job.Edit 5/31/23: After 5 months of heavy use, I had to disassemble and clean one of these. I've done this many times; it consists of bending back the case tabs to remove the internal wheel and cleaning the turning contacts and fixed contacts. Takes 15 minutes or so using a bit of fine steel wool and a pencil eraser, and I highly recommend a magnifying glass for this job. I generally give the turning contacts a bit more tension by bending them outward just a bit while cleaning. This cleaning can be done 2 or 3 times before the contacts wear out and it's time for a new encoder. As cheap as these are, I would just replace the encoder instead of cleaning, but replacing takes about the same time as cleaning so I might as well get some more life out of the existing one for the same time invested.

Works
Bought these to replace the encoder in my roccat kain 200 (mouse known to have problems with its encoders) and it works fine so far. Was hoping it would be more tactile but instead it feels more mushy, however each step is still defined. For what it is I think it does its job.
