Saved my babys life
I bought this product for my 1st baby after been reccomended to get a sensor monitor ver normal baby moniters. At just under 8 weeks i had only had 2 false alarms where my son was perfectly fine just in a deep sleep. On the 3rd occasion at 7 1/2 weeks old my sensor mat sounded and in the second it took to get to check on my son the circumstances were very different, he was very floppy, deflated and blue with no life or movement in him at all. If it was not down to the sensor mat i would have not woken for a futher 4 hours before a feed. this product really is amazing and although my son was in a bad state the alert meant i could start CPR on him. My son recovered well so i put him back to bed when he did the same less than 2 hours later and needed reviving again. I would reccomend this product to anyone as the sound quality is amazingly clear with adjustable levels of volume and the ticking of the parent monitor allows you to relax from another room. I have not used the talk back feature yet but know the motion sensor is beneficial for peace of mind. I love the fact that the baby's montior sounds when no motion is detected as well as the parent one as i have found the noise startles the baby and create movement again before you have got them. Even then i still check my son for own peace of mind. i also love how this is both mains and battery operated as in the event of a power cut you still have peace of mind even in your sleep. i would personally reccomend only using rechargable batteries as to ensure they are not dead should the power go off.I have only had one issue with this product on having to tilt my cot to an angle and found that the pressure was not evenly spread and the alarm was sounding when my baby was fine. This is after the release from hospital with preventative meassures so i have now put a cardboard box under the mattress to create more pressure. If this fails to fix the problem as i know my sensor mat works perfectly i will be upgradng to the video version with adjustable sensitivity.Love love love this product couldnt live without one now having experienced the proper benefits of such a wonderful device.

Very Good Monitor but needs to be louder
Like some other customers, we previously had the Tommee Tippee Reassurance Monitor with the sensor pad which was very good (Only 2 false alarms) but like others stated, the white noise on the parents hand set was just unbearable! We decided to go for this model based on the fantastic price on Amazon (Sells for $200 AUD Plus) and we are definitely glad we brought it.Firstly, there is no horrible white noise so you can have it on full volume all night without thinking that there are thousands or Cicada's in your room :)The parents unit dock acts as a recharging station (Comes with rechargeable Batteries)So many of the settings can be changed from the Parents unit which is really handy (Sensitivity, Nightlight, Temperature format to name a few)We personally have not had any issues with the sensor mat and can honestly say we have found it to be very accurate and comforting to have. I guess its about ensuring it is correctly set up and factors such as Positioning and Mattress/Blanket thickness should be considered.I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a decent baby monitor at a very decent price.

Definite must buy
Cant rate this product highly enough. Under mattress sensor vital for peace of mind. Extremely sensitive as i kept discovering when i kept forgetting to switch it off before removing baby to feed (just dont forget to put it back on again afterwards). As baby gets bigger and starts to move around and off the mat, the alarm will kerp going off. Best then to position the mat vertically instead of horizontally and towards the top end of the bassinet. Alarm is highly reliable and guaranteed to wake the deepest sleeper up if it goes off. Audio quality is excellent and extremely clear with no static interference. Volume of audio monitor can be turned down at night time so babys snoring etc doesnt wake you up. This doesnt affect the volume of the alarm. green lights indicating baby is breathing is highly reassuring to watch. Can be used as a regular monitor when mattress sensor is no longer in use. Only gripe is night light on monitor is insufficient for use. But as you are buying the monitor for its safety features and excellent audio quality then this is insignificant. Every parent should have this monitor

Valuable for parent piece of mind
We really liked having this monitor for piece of mind that baby was ok. We used it for two of our children and found it very rarely went off and that was normally because they had moved so much fhey had left the mat. Even as big movers they didnt do this often. My middle child had sleep apnoea which wasnt diagnosed until after she had outgrown this monitor and it didn't pick this up but i think her episodes of non breathing were less than what this monitor alerts for. She has since had an operation to fix her issue.I would say this was easy to put on. We first had a cot with a solid bottom but we just put a little hole in the bottom for the wire to fit through. We found the wires an issue but easily attached them to the cot leg with cable ties so they weren't a safety issue. When we went to a cot with slats we simply put it on a flat, thin piece of hardboard and it worked perfectly. We tested it regularly. The sound part worked very well, no issues. I would recommend this product.
