My son is autistic and we struggled greatly with the transition from nappy to toilet, but this book a week before school he is now full toilet trained!! Thank you to the author you are brilliant Review: Finally something that worked for a stubborn 3 year old! - What an excellent book. I have an almost 3.5 year old boy who had no interest in the potty, liked his nappies and if I could bribe him to sit on it nothing happened! This book has been the answer. It's hard going, days 1 and 2 constant accidents. Day 3 it started to click. Day 4 only one accident! Day 7 he regressed I think that's partly being at nursery and they wouldn't do the chocolate button treat plus he held in his poo for 3 days but I went back to basics again one whole day applying same principle and we have now had a further week dry. He has also done his first poo too. They always seem to take longer guess they get less practice at those lol. Stick with this book exactly as it says and I think it's a God send. Ps well worth buying the potty seat she recommends too although I started with potty and now moved to toilet so his potty was familiar at nursery.

Impressed!
Very impressed. I came across this “toilet/potty training in 3 days thing” in an article online and scoffed thinking how ridiculous it sounded. But when I read the other good reviews I decided to give it a go. And for us, it’s working. My daughter (1st time mum) just turned two and yesterday was day 1 - she did 4 small wees on the floor yesterday morning, each time I took her straight to the toilet. Wee number 5 came at lunch and sure enough it was in the toilet. And since then, no more accidents. She’s since done 8 wees (excluding naps/nights) and all 8 were successfully done in the loo (yes, I am keeping note...). Today (day 2) she’s been telling us she needs to go and sure enough, we’ve sat her on the loo and she’s been weeing. Zero accidents since yesterday. She’s understanding she shouldn’t be weeing on the floor and is asking for the toilet and wants to sit on it. Each time she’s getting more and more confident and taking less and less time wee. Been using the pull ups for naps and nights of course. But we’re calling them sleeping pants as we’ve told her no more nappies. We’ve been following the book fairly closely and it really works. We’re really impressed how quickly our daughter has picked up the peeing in toilet thing. In less than 3 days she’s gone from full nappies and zero interest in what goes on down there to now enjoying using the toilet. I thought it would take weeks or months to get her interested. We’ve gone straight to toilet and skipped using the potty as it seemed to make more sense for us. I would say though you need to remain super calm and positive, get excited for their achievements and encourage what they are doing well instead of what they aren’t doing. I find it more tiring rather than stressful as you do need to have full focus on them and nothing else. Quick background on our daughter - she’s strong minded, curious, confident, developing very normally for her age and assertive. Giving it four stars instead of 5 as the book does encourage sweet treats as rewards and juices/low cal cordials (some with sugar, others without) to encourage bladder flow so that’s not the most healthy option but worth it in my eyes if your LO is out of nappies quickly, it’s just for a couple of days after all. Fully aware there’s going to be accidents ahead whilst we’re out and about and she hasn’t tried pooing yet so we’re not out of the woods but the whole family is feeling happy and confident about toilet training now and it doesn’t feel daunting like it did before we started. Follow the book, be consistent, happy, calm and positive and you’ve got this!

It worked for us!
This book was probably the best decision I’ve made when it comes to deciding about potty training. We’re now on day 5 and she is absolutely killing it! Only a couple of little accidents but despite that she’s kept going and I’m so amazed that this worked! (She will be 3 at the end of April). I was a little scared about her doing a #2 in the toilet because she’s been known to withhold if she’s not comfortable, but she did it on the toilet yesterday! Absolutely fantastic! Will update my review after 10 days to see how it goes. Edit July 2023: it’s been a few months now and we’ve never looked back! After a few nights with the “night time pants” on she didn’t need those anymore either. On the first night she peed in her night time pants (nappy) and she was so upset about it that she never did it again and if she has to use the toilet she’ll wake up and tell us! Overall fantastic outcome and a brilliant book!

My 2 year old boy was potty trained in 3 days!
I love this book. It worked for us. I was so proud of my 2 year old boy when on 3rd day he went himself to the toilet and stayed dried for a whole day. We obviously had few accidents since then but he gets really upset if he doesn't keep his pants dry. He is really trying his best. Nursery staff was quite surprised how well potty trained he is. He was the only one in his room. He can use both toilet and potty. Granny was very proud too. To compare (which I shouldn't) to his friend (girl) same age. Her mum didn't use the book and she got potty trained just before 3rd birthday. Her daughter started sitting on a potty on her own so they do get it at some point. Back to the book. I found it pretty drastic and exhausting first day. We had so many accidents. He weed every 10 mins and I had to get some help from my hubby too. Some people might get offended by authors direct stricked approach so don't read it if you're are too soft and too positive with your kids or you don't give them any treats. I didn't mind. I prefered this old fashioned method so it's done and done properly. Thank you for this book!

Excellent for prep, structure and quick to read
With the warning that pants mean trousers in this book, we are so pleased we bought this book. We successfully trained our 3 year old son in 3 days. Subsequent accidents in next week 3, 2 of these were on day 4 and the third on day 5. We fully anticipate a regression at some point but looking good so far. The preparation advice is really good and our nappy disposal story was very handy in the first few days, so definitely take time to do this, it’s worth it. The only thing I’d say isn’t spelt out is the need for parent(s) to lead at a toilet time. He’s only just started to tell us / take himself to the toilet and needed clear direction and interpretation of his toilet clues during training time. This approach really worked for us, not saying it will work for everyone but I’m really grateful this book is out there. Many thanks from 2 time poor working parents (and a very impressed nursery)!

Brilliant!
What can I say! I was sceptical but we are on day 3 with my 3 year old and she is doing amazingly!! No accidents at all today and nappy was even bone dry this morning. On day 3!! Just shows she was definitely ready just being stubborn about starting but once we got through the first tantrum she's been great! This book gave me the push I needed to just get on with it.

Not Realistic
Read the book, stuck to the method, and found it did not work. The 3 day expectation was unrealistic. A lot of issues we ran into were not mentioned in the book. For example refusal to even sit on the toilet trainer.

Book with good advise for potty training
Book in hood condition, seller resolved my problem with a delayed delivery very efficiently. The book itself provides practical tips for potty training. We managed to follow and succeed in 2 days already.

Unbelievably Great a Method!!!
I was absolutely skeptical about how would it be possible to potty train a toddler in 3 days. But this book is a blessing. It cannot be said enough how clear and perfect the information is and to gear up before the 3 days. I followed it to the Tee and it was simply unbelievable. By day 3 my toddler was telling me when to go to the potty. Yes the 2 days were intensive to the point of throwing in the towel. However we fought the temptation of putting the diaper back and pushed through the tantrums. Incase you are sitting on the fence to order this book, then i highly recommend you buy this book .

Helped a lot!!
This actually helped a lot! Obviously we didn’t train our toddler in three days, but within the three days he’s got the hang of it, the rest is practice and patience!
