Nemasys Fruit and Vegetable Protection (F&V) is the natural solution for insect pests in your vegetable garden – protect your fruit and veg from a range of insect pests with one simple, chemical-free treatment. This unique mix of different nematodes will protect your fruit and veg from the main insect pests including carrot root fly, cabbage root fly, cutworms, onion fly, sciarid fly, caterpillars, gooseberry sawfly, thrips, and codling moth. Nemasys F&V is safe to use on food crops, is suitable for use on organic crops and it will not harm pets, children, wildlife or bees. Nemasys F&V works at temperatures above 12°C/40°F, so apply UNDERGLASS all year round or apply OUTDOORS during the growing season i.e. between March and October. Review: Easy to use and effective - So I suffer with the dreaded black fly in my house plants and although I manage levels using sticky traps, sometimes a little more is needed to really kill them off. I bottom water my plants, I have a layer of grit on my plants and do everything else that I should but I find this really is the best way to heavily reduce numbers. It doesn’t look like much when it turns up, some sticky powder in a plastic dish that is hard to believe is alive in anyway but you keep it the fridge as soon as it arrives until you use it. The recommendation is to use it quite soon after purchase so make sure that you don’t buy it just to stick in the cupboard until you need it. Only purchase it if you are planning on treating Immediately. This particular one actually treated a lot of different bugs, but I wanted something that treated blackfly (sciarid flies). To start with you have to dissolve in a large quantity of water so I just used an old bucket and a Pyrex jug to measure out the required amount of water. I then took the lid off and put the packaging inside the water and swirled around until it dissipated. Then you would add half a litre of the nematode mix to a watering can full of water and then treat your plants. It sounds more complicated than it is and once you’ve made your mix, you just need 1 jug of mix to I think it was 9 jugs of water. Once I worked out where I needed to fill it to, I drew a line on the watering can and filled it to that point every time which made it much easier than measuring the water. Then using a watering can and a coarse rose, I saturated my plants from the top making sure that the soil and earth was well saturated and covered. I repeated the mixing process until all of my house plants were suitably saturated. I then personally left them for 10–15 minutes for that to work through the soil and then went back and applied a second dose to make sure that it really permeated through all of the soil. Some of my plants were very big; my Monstera for example is in a pot large enough that an entire watering can did not make it all the way through and out of the bottom so I carried on watering until I saw the water come out the bottom of all of my pots and ensured they were fully saturated. Once they had dried out a bit, I moved them back in the house and then complimented the treatment with a few yellow sticky traps to catch any established flies that were impervious to the nematode mix. It’s important to realise that the nematode mix attacks the larvae in the soil so won’t affect any flies have already started fly and there is no guarantee that treatment will get rid of all of them. The pack actually recommend treating 2 weeks later and I would presume that regular treatments would be the only way to keep them completely at bay as well as isolating and treating any new plants that you bring into the property. I notice the flies in my conservatory where I’ve got 7 house plants; the plants in the rest of the property don’t seem to have any blackfly, but I still treat them anyway. It’s also worth noting that you need to stir your mix in the bucket every time before you add to the watering can as it does settle to the bottom. So I made sure to give a thorough stir watering can I made and would scoop from the bottom to make sure that I captured plenty of the mixture. For me it’s really simple to use, the instructions are easy to follow and it’s easy to apply. I think the performance is very good but it is worth understanding that you need to do maintenance treatments and also supplement with sticky traps. It isn’t a case of one treatment gets rid of them all and you do need to keep up with regular treatments and bottom watering your plants really does reduce the wet soil on top that they like to breed in
Review: It WORKS!!! - This nematodes WORKS!!! Soon after I apply that on my pots, raised bed, and lawn. All plants looks much better. I noticed my garden was infested with leatherjacket. I found quite a lot of worm and crane fly. The plant stuggles in spring and over winter. WOW, it save my plants and garden. I found a paralyzed leatherjacket today in the raised bed. I did not remove it, since the nematode is multiplying inside it. Wonderful product. Have been looking for multipurpose nematode for a long time, finally found one. Will definitely buy again.

**Q: Could I use only part of this product at a time and if so, how long could the remainder be stored and remain viable?**
A: I ordered 2 packs hoping to use one after the recommended 2 weeks and and the life on both were only 9 days after I received them.

**Q: Does this work for fungus  gnats?**
A: Yes, this will get rid of fungus gnats (Sciarid flies) in your house plants very quickly!  I divided mine into 3 portions and suspended each in 1L of water a few days apart & used this to water my plants.  Just one day after the first dose, the gnats were gone!  I also used some yellow sticky fly traps to catch the flies.

**Q: Is it effective against allium leaf miner**
A: It didn't work at all for me

**Q: How many house plants will this cover? I usually need 15l to fully soak all soil.**
A: I used it on indoor plants and it did well over fifty.

This nematodes WORKS!!! Soon after I apply that on my pots, raised bed, and lawn. All plants looks much better. I noticed my garden was infested with leatherjacket. I found quite a lot of worm and crane fly. The plant stuggles in spring and over winter. WOW, it save my plants and garden. I found a paralyzed leatherjacket today in the raised bed. I did not remove it, since the nematode is multiplying inside it. Wonderful product. Have been looking for multipurpose nematode for a long time, finally found one. Will definitely buy again.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It worked, but you waste a lot treating indoor plants.

It's odd I'm complaining about too much of it, but just hear me out... I went for this as it was highly reviewed, and, it worked! No more soil gnats, and on top of that it also flushed out some other bugs from my poor bay tree. Due to the fact it doesn't keep once opened, I had to use it all. It also requires being diluted significantly, I was juggling maybe 3 mixing bowls, all just to treat one plant. In the end I wasted probably £4 worth of product, because it came in such a large sachet. Instead of being in multiple smaller packets that I could have gave to other gardeners in my area. On top of this, it didn't come refrigerated, at all. In fact, it was shoved in the back of a warm postal van in 20+ degrees weather. I also had to agitate it every 10 or so minutes, as if you don't keep stirring it, the nematodes won't survive. It's very good for treating a whole garden. An infestation of flies and other stuff indoors? Well it works, and it's easier to find than mosquito bits. But you'll throw a lot of it away as it can't be kept.
