Works well, very convenient. Use alligator forceps to load looped or splayed cord.
I bought three different cord locks, including this 1 holer. They all work fine. They all slip a little when stressed. I prefer a two hole to this single hole, but no particular reason. This works well. Use alligator forceps ($10 to $15) to load cord with splayed or looped ends. Save time and aggravation. See photos.

What ???? These work nicely!!!!! (Even after home. laundry use!!) Yeah ,,I 'M the lazy edition ,,just. loosened the clips ,,,stuck. the. gym pants in the washer . dryer ,, got good results. Yeah , Amazon you don't. get good customers. any more! Even better ,,these are plastic,,do not rust!!!! or bang up the dryer . Life is good ,,,pass the Amazon!! Perfect for fit
I got these for some new sweat pants that kept slipping down when worn. The locks are great at holding the string in place and keeping the pants feeling snug and comfortable.

Big enough got round small cords and strong hold. Very good.
These work nicely. The holes are large enough to get fairly large cords through, and the springs are strong enough to hold them. Good purchase; recommended. BTW I’ve been hiking for over 60 years, and have had a great deal of experience with these “beans” as we used to call them. These are as good as I’ve ever found, and that’s saying something.

I liked them so much I bought more!
No more losing the tie string on sweat pants or hoodies. These are easy to use and could also be used on shoes for the kiddos that cannot tie shoes yet.

Stong hold.
Am pleased with these cord locks. Hold strong, large enough for most uses.

Only good for light use.
They work fine, depending on what you use them for. The spring tension and locking is on the week side. I used them with new tie strings that broke in sweatpants and after locking the tie strings in place it was a little too easy to pull the strings through without pressing the release button.
