Review: Absolutely worth it! - Absolutely worth it. I picked this pedal up nearly a month ago because my small 10W amp was sounding dull and I was hoping it would improve the tone. As soon as I plugged it in, the difference was instantly noticeable. It added extra punch along with a heavier yet clearer sound. One feature I found particularly useful is that the pedal has its own distortion effect. So far I think it actually sounds better than my DS1 for the music I am currently playing, which includes a lot of Deftones, Oasis and Sabbath. Another great feature is the ability to adjust the mids, something my amp does not offer. This made it much easier to shape the tones I wanted to create. The footswitch also feels great to use and has a solid, satisfying press. Overall, for just over £20 I would definitely recommend picking this up. It is a very versatile and useful pedal to have whenever you need it. If you are like me and only have a small 10W amp, I would absolutely say go for it because you will notice the difference.

I tried powering it by battery, but this uses a lot of power & it does not operate when the battery is low. I use it with a mains adaptor & this is a lot better. Depending where the pedal is placed, there can be a lot of interference noise, so it has to be placed away from other powered objects such as an amplifier. It is also a lot better using shielded cables, it makes a big difference to the amount of interference. There are a large amount of sounds that can be obtained from this pedal, from clear tones to heavily distorted. It is good fun playing about with the settings on the pedal & tone controls on the guitar to see what sounds can be made. It works best on the clean channel on an amplifier & using the pedal controls to get the desired effect. A handy little gadget that makes a good variety of sounds.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does what it says on the tin... er, plastic.

Look, it's not a Boss pedal. It's plastic. You can't use it to nail the drum riser to the floor and expect it to still work; the battery change is fiddly; the little switches that set the 'mic', 'mode' and 'amp' settings are really little and you can't see what you've set them to unless you're down on your hands and knees with a torch, but... it really just does what it says it does in a perfectly adequate manner. I've been plugging my guitar (Les Paul) into the local pub PA straight or using a Pocket Pod. In the former situation it sounds less good than it should and in the latter it sounded great until the Pod fell off my belt and it all went quiet. So I've gone for the Behringer as a cheap and easy alternative. It isn't a Fender Tweed or a Marshall or a Mesa Boogie but it does sound a little bit like each one, it's a lot smaller and lighter and, frankly, it'll do. And for the price it's a no-brainer. It also has a really bright blue light that you can use to find your car keys with or maybe even use to guide planes down in an emergency landing light failure scenario. Hey - it could happen, I'm telling you.
