LanskySharpeners Universal Mount

A very handy item to add to your Lansky knife sharpener kit.

It’s a good fit and allows you to sharpen a lot easier. Would of preferred it to be a little heavier and it would have gotten 5 stars.

Fits the lansky knife holder well but does tend to rotate as you move the blade around so I added a small rubber o ring to the threaded which stoked that issue.I have also screwed it to a small but sturdy piece of plywood which has helped also.

Good solid Lansky Aluminium mount for Lansky knife system. Not cheap, but very nice quality. You get what you pay for.

Another great product from lansky. Essential to get the best results from the lansky system. Looks identical to the pedestal mount except you can dismantle it to fit in the lansky case. I use it with my lansky deluxe system and as a combination I really can achieve a scarily sharp edge that you can shave with. As mentioned by another purchaser the screw that fits the two pieces together is marginally too long instead of filing or cutting I just put a washer between the two halves.

Works well, however I did need to file the end of the screw threaded portion of the post, because when the post was firmly attached the threaded portion protruded past the base and therefore rocked on the centre. Simple enough when you have the necessary tools, but should not be required in the first place

A vital part of the Lansky sharpening system. You NEED this or one of the similar items (such as their plastic mount or their clamp).So why the Critical Review? For starters it doesn't screw in as "hold fast" tight as it might. And that compounds the real problem with this: THE PRICE. It is shamelessly overpriced for the materials, function and quality. It should be a fiver, tops.Go to the DIY & Tools section right now and filter by price, showing everything from £10 to £14 (basically less than this price and down); I got tools offered such as hot glue gun with 40 sticks of glue, 58-piece standard screwdriver set, 28 piece precision screwdriver set, 15 drill heads, 12 piece wood carving chisels, an electric fan heater, Swiss Army knives, Stanley multitools, etc. For that matter, the entire basic set Lansky sharpening set is just twice this price.The thing is Lansky knows their set is impossible to safely operate without one of their stands or clamps so they can charge outrageous prices. Well, you NEED one but that doesn't mean you have to be HAPPY about the price.

Ok if you have purcahsed a lansky sharpening kit this is a must have add on , i really think it should come in the kit because holding the kinfe free hand is not so easy with this you just pout it down on any surface and can either clamp or screw or just hold it tight down and it makes the job so much safer .
