So Far, So Good
Update as of June 1, 2024: It was a good run, but we've finally reached the point of the dreaded double-clicking. It's currently very intermittent and only a very mild inconvenience, but it seems that this is a problem that all mice will deal with at some point. Nevertheless, the battery still lasts just as long as it did when new and all other features still work seamlessly. I would still consider this a great purchase if you're looking for a budget-friendly rechargeable mouse. Second Edit as of July 8, 2021: I had a hard drive from an old laptop hooked up via an HDD dock, and while looking through the files, the mouse was having *serious* lag issues. I can confirm it's the mouse itself because the trackpad had absolutely no issues whatsoever. The issue also went away when I turned the HDD dock off and disconnected it from my laptop. Right now, it's working right as rain with no issues. Not a major issue, but incredibly annoying and time consuming, as I have to wait several seconds at a time for the cursor to reach the spot that I need. (Note: This could potentially be attributed to the hard drive in question being full and well over a decade old.) Edit as of June 22, 2021: The mouse is still working perfectly. No issues to speak of and I just got the "critical battery level" message today. I fully charged the battery when I first received it (April 24, 2021), so it has lasted an approximate total of 59 days. This is after having used it nearly every day for up to 10 hours a day. If you don't use your mouse nearly as much, I imagine you will be able to stretch the time between each charge. Definitely worth what I paid. Original Review: I previously used the AA-battery powered Logitech M325. Just a cheap little $20ish mouse that has lasted about 7 years (purchased it back in 2014 I believe), but just recently developed the dreaded double-clicking issue; it was beginning to drive me nuts. I had already been looking to upgrade to a rechargeable mouse in order to save myself the trouble of going through a multitude of external batteries - though the batteries always lasted several months at a time. Obviously a rechargeable version is going to be a little more spendy, but I wasn't exactly interested in spending $80 on the newest version of this mouse, especially if I ended up not liking it. I figured an older model that was $30 cheaper, and still has essentially the same functions/features, would be a better alternative. Just got it today (April 24, 2021) and first impressions so far are pretty great. No trouble plugging it in to charge, it feels great in your hand, and operation is very smooth. It feels nicely built, very solid - definitely not cheap at all. Feels exactly as I would expect a $50 mouse to feel. Logitech also has a program you can download to your computer to get more out of your new device. Very intuitive and user-friendly, and you can better monitor the battery life of the mouse. However, I do have one or two small gripes with this mouse. - My M325 had an internal storage slot for the USB connector so that I wouldn't have to leave it attached to my laptop, or have it loose in my travel bag. The MX has a *slightly* more low-profile USB connector, but no internal slot to store it. Not a huge issue, but just a little creature-comfort that I'm going to miss. - The only instructions that came with the mouse were in the form of a sticker on the bottom of the mouse. It took a few minutes of dinking around on Logitech's website to figure out how to actually connect the mouse to my laptop. Though once it did connect, I haven't had any issues whatsoever. (note: I am using the USB connector, NOT bluetooth) - Clicking the scroll wheel will switch between two different scrolling modes, and they will feel different. I prefer feeling the wheel "click" as I scroll, but the clicks on this mouse feel a bit clunky. It's not terrible, it definitely does not detract from the performance of the mouse, it's just a tactile thing that I'm not a big fan of. Overall though, it's a great little mouse so far and I am definitely very happy with it's performance out of the box. I'll be interested to see how it holds up once it's been in use for x amount of weeks/months/years.

My Favorite Mouse!
Too much Mac trackpad, my fingers and hands needed something more ergo (or at least, a change). This mouse is nice. Works on any surface, and is bluetooth. (It comes with a dongle, but why use one additional part, when zero will do just fine?) Note that the MX2 has SEVEN buttons, but they reduce this on the MX3 to five. On the MX3, the scroll wheel no longer clicks side-to side. By default, this is set to pan left and right ... it's useful on the default setting, but can be customized. (Logitech claims one more button, but this is the "scroll wheel shift," not really a button.) You will probably want to install "Logitech Options" to get all the features. This is basically essential on the Mac, otherwise the scroll wheel will scroll the opposite direction from every other mouse you have used. (That's actually Apple's fault, but the Logitech software fixes this.)

A huge benefit when you need a beefy scroll wheel in gigantic spreadsheets.
The Logitech MX Anywhere 2 Wireless Mouse is a fantastic mouse that offers smooth and precise tracking on almost any surface. I have been using it for several months now and have been thoroughly impressed with its performance. One of the standout features of this mouse is its ability to connect to multiple devices seamlessly. With the included Unifying receiver or Bluetooth, I can easily switch between my laptop and desktop with just a click of a button. This has been incredibly convenient for me as someone who works on multiple devices throughout the day. The design of the MX Anywhere 2 is also top-notch. It fits comfortably in my hand and the buttons are perfectly placed for easy access. The scroll wheel is also incredibly smooth and precise, making it a pleasure to use for both work and gaming. In terms of battery life, I have found that the MX Anywhere 2 lasts for weeks on a single charge, which is impressive considering how much I use it on a daily basis. Overall, I highly recommend the Logitech MX Anywhere 2 Wireless Mouse to anyone in need of a reliable and versatile mouse. Its performance, design, and battery life make it a standout option in the crowded mouse market.

Functions I did not know I even wanted.....
I had a wireless Microsoft mouse that worked great for me, then started acting erratically, guess they will do that if you drop them on the floor too much. I knew Logitech was a good brand and is known to make a quality product so I decided to try this mouse out. I basically needed a mouse that would work on any surface seeing as I use my computer as an entertainment center hooked up to my television. The mouse so far works amazing, it has functions I didn't even think I would ever want, I can customize the buttons. There are two side buttons a scroll wheel and a middle button that you can program to do what you want, I like to use this button to switch between tabs. So far the mouse is awesome, the battery has been fine and it has held up so far, but I have not had the mouse long so durability will be something I learn about down the line.

Logitech delivers as they have always delivered.
Yep, itโs a โclickerโ alright, but that doesnโt trigger my PTSD so Iโm going to run with it. I think I noticed it the first few clicks and mentally commented to myself, โyep that one reviewer was right.โ That said, itโs smooth as butter, accurate and I like that I can customize different apps like Teams to do extremely important things like bring up my emojis with a single click. I canโt correctly evaluate battery life, but it was well charged when it arrived and charged full in less than an hour. Same with games. Homie donโt play games. Also Iโm not going to say Iโll update the review after evaluating battery life because Iโll probably forget, but in the unlikely event itโs horrible, Iโll probably come back and complain a bit, but I expect the mouse to function as advertised. All the previous Logitech mouses (mice?) have over the past bazillion years since before there were wireless mouses aka miceses. Oh yeah the unifying USB receiver recognized my older Logitech keyboard , MK700 and the USB cord has a nice little velcro strap to secure it. Nice touches. If youโre wondering, the mouse works great on my glass desktop. Another big win, as it hands down beats my older Microsoft flexy/bendy mouse which did NOT like glass at all. I think this is a nice purchase, I also like the price, and above all I like the ergonomics. I have large hands and I still find it comfortable, however I have been using comparably sized mouses/meeces for several years since I consult and used to travel weekly - they pack nicely in a laptop bag. Now that Iโm not traveling, nor planning on it, I still chose this size because itโs worked well for me for many years. Overall Iโm happy with the purchase and even now it looks nice - the bronze with the black is very GoT for what thatโs worth.

Great mouse to help utilize Dragon for dictating; easier on my RSI
After trying several options to help slow down some savagely unpleasant RSI, I've landed on the MX Anywhere 2 as the best lightweight, programmable mouse that fits nicely in my hand for regular all-day-long workday use. Using the Logitech software, I programmed the extra buttons to 1) start my mic for dictating with Dragon, 2) 'backspace,' and 3) 'enter.' This makes switching back and forth between dictating and direct text editing go more smoothly; for example, I can select and 'backspace' i.e. delete text super quickly with just my mouse hand, then dictate in replacement text, without putting my hands to the keyboard. [I did this by setting 'Ctrl+Q' as a custom keystroke in Dragon to start the mic, under 'Options,' then programming the mouse to 'Ctrl+Q' as its keystroke in Logitech.] Fair warning, this listing is for the 'MX Anywhere 2 in Meteorite,' and I ordered this item but was shipped an MX Anywhere 2S. The 2S is also a fine mouse so I'll be keeping it and moving on with my life. Both the MX Anywhere 2 and 2S are ideal for my purposes of long hours of interacting with a computer and seamlessly utilizing both dictation and direct text editing, with less wear on my hand and wrist. Some reviewers favor the 2S over the 2 in any case - just wanted to let you know they are both good mouse-s, I can't personally tell the difference between them, so if you order a 2 and receive a 2S instead, it's probably fine. This is my 3rd purchase - I have one at work and one at home, and the one at work finally gave up the ghost. The internal lithium battery lasted for ~4 years of heavy weekday use before it gave up the ghost and would no longer hold a charge. When it requests to be charged, I just plug it in and keep working, nbd. I actively recommend this mouse for people with heavy text editing needs and the woe of RSI.

This is a great mouse
Pros: Size, weight and battery life tracking overall Fee Multi-device compatibility Software / Functionality scroll wheel Cons: accidental clicks it's the right size and has a decent heft -- i thought losing the two AA batteries from the original version in favor of the rechargeable would be more noticeable. It's not. the battery life is also really good -- i've owned it for about 6 months, use it 45 hours a week and have never NEEDED to charge it. i've only plugged it in a handful of times. it slides across the desk -- pad or not, and tracks 'Anywhere' -- including on a padded wall or on my blue jeans (it happens during collaborative meetings). the sliders on the bottom of the mouse are large. I prefer the USB Dongle, but I leave that plugged into my monitor and have almost no issues with bluetooth when i take the laptop to a conference room or home for a day or two -- MacOS is great with the logitech options software. Windows10 had a bit of an issue with tracking / jumping / delay, but a recent update to the software seems to have fixed that. i have set very specific actions to the buttons and have the ability to change a button's behavior while using a specific application. the scroll wheel is incredible. two modes -- clicky scroll (a few lines at a time) or smooth rolling -- and it rolls for DAYS. sideways scrolling too. Cons: the primary left mouse button is very easy to press -- on days when i'm particularly drowsy (or experiencing a bit of food coma after lunch) i find the button presses just from the weight of my hand resting on it. same happens with the scroll wheel -- somehow i always find myself in smooth scrolling mode and prefer clicky scroll mode. buy it.

This thing does work anywhere!
Like the name says, this mouse does work on any surface, connects effortlessly to pc every time you turn it on. Charged once and it has lasted over a month or longer with daily use, not sure if this case senorio will be the same for everyone, though this is great for me! Looks great also, nice design, smaller which is nice, still my big hand can use it well! Materials seem durable and well made!

Repeat Purchase I love it so Much!
This is a fantastic mouse that I have purchased before. The features are convenient and efficient and I love that the mouse is rechargable to save using disposable batteries. The charging cable is easy to take with you and the mouse holds a charge for weeks even with using it 7-10 hours daily. I expect this mouse will last several years just as the one I purchased 4 years ago did.

The names says it all.. MX ANYWHERE 2 LOGITECH... 100% no regrets
I've been using MX Anywhere 2 for days and honestly I'm speechless the response of the mouse motion is superb no delays. The Bluetooth connection is fast easy to set up, fast connection on changing device from my PC to my iPad and I also tried it on my iPhone x. What I love the most is the mouse wheel because you can click it to go infinite scrolling for long pages and click it again to go back to a regular scrolling. The clicks are not that loud and not that hard to press or click, hand angle comfort dose not strain my hand for long hours of use. Budget wise compared to MX Anywhere 2s this is a must-have and they have the same functions as well. But if you do have a budget for the MX Anywhere 2S id go for it, but if not you won't regret choosing MX ANYWHERE 2 100% legit no regrets. Happy using it recommend this to my friends and family members.

So happy that I was able to get a second one of these
When I found this mouse, I was actually looking for the 2s version that followed it. I was so happy with it I wanted another. This one fit the bill, and has all the features I needed from the 2s. What I love the most is the programmable buttons. I have programmed mine so I can turn the volume up or down by tipping the wheel right or left. It's such a great feature. I also programmed the small square button to put my laptop to sleep, and this has turned out to be super helpful as my new laptop doesn't have a shortcut button for sleep. With the mouse, now it does!

Works great!
I had a Logitech laser mouse previous to this one and it worked great until I changed desk. My new desk as a shiny surface and my laser mouse would lose its 'connection' with the surface on a regular basis hence the reason I purchased the MX Anywhere. Since purchasing this mouse, I have not lost 'connection' once with the surface. I have had it for over a month. I use it continuously daily since I work from home and I have yet to need to recharge it. Would definitely recommend this mouse.
