.... its a plastic circle with holes. Course its the same.
Unsure as to why there is bad reviews for this I got this one day after ordering and paid 11.99 for it. As the price would indicate it is a travel version of spirograph. If you want all the pieced there is also a bigger one with more pieces on amazon for 25 quid ish.Came with all the basics a small pad to draw on and a little instruction book. Tin is a nice quality and I am not being funny but where people have written they must have changed it...... how? They are plastic circles with holes in them. Granted mine was orange plastic with a blue surround as a kid. But this is clear plastic. And considering it has been around for ages I would expect they change the colours of the plastic.Maybe people are relating this to their childhood and how much fun they had with it at 8 years old..... and now they are in their 40s with more brain power they dont get the same pleasure out of it? You cant change a plastic circle with holes to be anything but a plastic circle with holes. This is a mini pack and as mini packs go this does alot of designs and is a cute storable tin to keep it all together. It literally does what it says on the tin.Vey happy with purchase and delivery time.

The tin is compact
I like the compact tin it's in . I really enjoy colouring and thought I'd be able to do some nice patterns and colour them . When I was a child I had a spirograph but don't recall someone showing me how to do it with the instructions it was all just hit n miss . I intend to use the guide and make some nice patterns and colour them using my gel pens and glitter pens .Last night I babysat my granddaughter and spent along time just experimenting it was greatThe rings seem flimsier than what they used to but mine will be taken care of

Lovely set for a gift
This is a lovely set for a gift. The only issue with it is the plastic liner the disks etc are in inside the tin. It would better if it were organized with dividers instead as it's hard to get them in and out and keep the plastic in good condition.

childhood memories
nice solid metal tin..2 good fine tip pens and a handy guide.. took a few goes at getting the right angle and speed..the main ring is slightly wrapped which doesnt help, but using some blue tack to secure seems to help.Overall a good item.

Wow blast from the past a must for Parents, Hipsters in fact anyone that can hold a pen !!!
Wow I remember my very first Spirograph and things haven’t changed when you get this kit. Many patterns can be created using this set of circles the idea is you place the clear plastic ring onto paper and affix using the Putty then once that is down you choose one of the plastic circles or attachments put biro into one of the holds and start to dribble in a circular motion by doing this it guide the nib of your pen to a predefined pattern. Changing the hole you started with starts off a new pattern once you do this in varying colours amazing patterns can be made.Super easy to use only thing different to original is you don’t have the pins and the putty doesn’t work that great so my advice is to use some blue tac works perfectly then.

Overpriced
The contents of this product was disappointing. Bought as a replacement and liked the idea of a sturdy tin for storage and as the price was similar to a cardboard box set however big mistake as the contents greatly reduced to compensate for the tin .
