HEALTHY STARTER+ PROGRAMME, TEN DAY CLEANSE + SUPPORT PRODUCTS

I was stupidly bullied into buying this by a colleague who wanted us all to go on a "cleanse" together. Essentially these pills are very strong diuretics - i.e. they make you urinate excessively to lose water weight. This has both short and long term effects. Long term effects include, for example, kidney damage. Short term effects include, for example, blinding headaches (which my colleague banned me from treating with painkillers, because "painkillers are chemicals"). And of course you spend days rushing to the toilet.This is not something you need to or should do to your body. There is no special magic around diet and weight loss. A "detox" is not a medically recognised term. There is no medically accepted definition of "toxin" and your body excretes waste products perfectly efficiently all by itself. It does not need artificial diuretics to "cleanse" it because these will simply drain you of the water, salts and nutrients that you don't usually excrete because you need them.Now, onto the diet you must follow when taking these pills. It is nothing more than a low-salt, low-GI diet that anybody could put together for themselves. This is a pretty healthy diet to adopt in general, and people may benefit from going on a relatively extreme form of it for short periods of time, not least because a rest from salty, fatty, sugary food (and alcohol) can help to break you out of bad food habits and addictions.So by all means eat a low GI diet. Eat a stupidly restrictive version of this for ten days if you must. But do not buy into pseudo-scientific garbage; do not take pills that damage your well-developed homeostatic processes, especially not repeatedly, and especially not for sixty quid. If you really want to, you can speak to your doctor about taking these pills. They will not recommend that you take them. They will recommend a healthy diet with low sugar, fresh fruit and vegetables, lean protein, and lots of fibre. And they will recommend that you exercise. It is just common sense.

Only downside is the gelatin casing so not suitable for vegans or vegetarians. Had to give it away. My friend is really pleased with the product and loves the liquid chlorophyll.

I've used this product before, this will be my third detox and it really works.
