Wanting more safety
My hubby is on and off ladders a lot. I used to be but it's getting less often. The more of hear of friends and others who have fallen off their ladders it's making me nervous for my hubby.I ordered this for my hubby as a friendly reminder that I need him to be safe. For quick jobs he doesn't want to take the time, but when it's useful is when the ground is uneven. He's been working on remodeling houses and sometime doing outside work is where the wobble can happen. No one is around often times, who would see him if he fell, so I encourage him to take these extra precautions for his own safety.I'm grateful that someone else thought about safety and designed this.

Loss of orange pad vibration during transportation
One of the orange pads vibrated off during transport. How do I get another orange pad for my ladder extensions? Please call back or text back. This is my second attempt

It's all you could ask for
I wasn't sure if this hardware would be made of skimpy materials but it certainly isn't. The knurled bars are heavy duty and four bolts hold the apparatus in place on both sides. It holds fast to its setting which is easily adjustable once set. When I ordered it I was concerned about the quality of the rubber feet because my 2 section ladder already has rubber feet but the ones attached to the leveler are quite a bit superior. Thick, solid, grippy rubber with a large foot print. The nature of where I use my ladder has always required I level it by using scraps of wood or bricks that are laying around so I now regard this above all things a significant improvement as a safety feature. Not that I won't continue tying my ladder off with rope on both sides. I've been lectured many times that a 75+ year old shouldn't even be on a ladder.

Yeah I need a different solution
I am not the greatest handyman. I am a bit of a klutz, primarily due to my larger size. If it's computers, I got no problems, but some things like working on ladders. At 6'8" you don't feel real stable on things putting you higher.I have a loft, and a large wall on the stairwell up to the loft that I'd love to put a few posters up. However. doing so requires a ladder. I had hoped that this would do the trick for me.I think I was wrong on the idea of this working *for me*.First off, you have to drill holes into your existing ladder to connect this to your ladder. No problem, completely understand that and makes a great deal of sense to ensure stability.Secondly, It's heavy as all get out, and that again, probably a good thing to help with keeping your ladder stable on stairs. Once you attach it to the ladder, it makes an already bulky unwieldy thing even more-so to move.Lastly, and again I am a large individual, with questionable balance issues that intentionally avoids ladders if possible. I did not feel comfortable using this on a set of stairs. after doing everything in the instructions. It did not feel stable enough to trust my weight (350ish) , especially when shifting weight with the stairs. I think I'll likely just get a handy person that is willing to do the job hanging 4 large (30" x 40") wood framed prints for me,. I have done this before in the loft on the non-stairwell side, and much higher, with the ladder just on the floor., this just felt unsteady with the same ladder.I think for normal sized human beings, and folks with better dexterity, same thing, but for beginners, or folks not comfortable on ladders, I think this is a questionable purchase. The ones that just extend the stairs is likely a much better idea overall as it doesn't put the weight on these.Pros:- It "works"?Cons:- Requires drilling into ladder- Heavy- Questionable stability

Must have for certain ladders
These are solid leg levers. The pad is 4" side and on concrete, wood floors, tile: they don't budge. Depending on your ladder, you may need to drill holes to mount these. These will not work on rounded legs for lighter duty ladders. I put them on my Werner extension ladder and it's great. I stomped on them and hit them with a mallet before installing them to test if they would slip and they didn't. Install can be a little bit tedious but it's worth it if you need a level ladder on uneven or smooth surfaces.

GREAT CONCEPT
GOT THESE TO PUT ON MY LADDER BECAUSE I WAS THAT GUY THAT USED WOOD OR BRICKS TO LEVEL THE LADDER WHEN I USED IT. THESE MAKE IT SO MUCH EASIER. THEY APPEAR TO BE WELL CONSTRUCTED OF HEAVY METAL. THEY DO REQUIRE A LITTLE THOUGHT WHEN ATTACHING THEM TO THE LADDER. THE RUBBER PADS ARE THICK AND SEEM STRONG. I WAS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT A WAY TO PUT THESE ON MY TELESCOPIC MULTIPURPOSE FOLDING LADDER THAT I USE WAY MORE THAN THE EXTENSION LADDER. BUT THAT IS NOT WHAT THEY ARE MADE FOR. THESE ARE MUCH BETTER THAN WOOD OR BRICKS!

Easy balancing
The ladder leveler works great. After attaching it, I put it to use right away and the leveler worked great. I was able to level my ladder on quite an incline with ease. Great new tool.
