Probabilistic Numerics: Computation as Machine Learning

this is a nice book. this book covers the same topics as other uncertainty quantification books. unfortunately, this book does seem to ignore decades of work in the field of uncertainty quantification in applied math and stats, fields that literally deal address the same topics in many of the same contexts. hopefully the next version of this book will notice that other folks have been worrying about these problems relatively continuously, and maybe integrate more reasonably into the broader community.
