Easy read to help you get started on change delivery
I read Susie’s previous book-Project Management: It’s all bollocks! Which I found to be a light humoured, accessible and informative read. I found the same of this book. I enjoyed it, it’s easy to digest, there are good pictures! I’d recommend it to someone wanting to deliver change in a way that doesn’t cost the earth and isn’t overly complicated. Reading the book I realised she also delivers workshops and offers 1:1 support, so I’ll be checking that out too.

Progress over perfection. People over processes.
I attended a House of PMO webinar where Susie was the guest speaker and she was fantastic. I bought the book online during the webinar! As well as reading the book cover to cover, I have gone back to specific sections to help my clients and in considering the way I evolve my own project management consultancy. There is so much information related to change management out there in the market today that it is very easy to get lost and overwhelmed. The industry is systems, process and methodology heavy right now and this book is completely refreshing. Focussed on people and written by a true human that knows people. Follow her on LinkedIn and let Susie help you bring the context of your change into perspective.

Progress over Perfection
“Progress over Perfection” for me sums up the very essence and mindset behind the practical steps outlined in this book. From keeping it simple to keeping it real, the authors have evidently drawn on their combined real-world lived experiences to talk from a position of pragmatism rather than theory. No two changes are the same but there’s so much that you can learn. Whether you read this cover to cover before embarking on your next change initiative or simply dip in and out of the chapters to stabilise and improve your inflight change this is an invaluable reference.Highly recommend if you don’t want to get embroiled in a heavily theoretical guide to managing change effectively. Worth every penny and if the book whets your appetite but you need more hands support you can always engage the authors via their business - Everyday Change.

I’ve got to page 8 and already nodding in agreement
I’ve been looking forward to reading this book on change after having heard Susie speak a few times. This book reeks of Susie’s down to earth style. The content is an ace combination of straight talking, knowledge sharing, and sound advice.By the way it’s true. I only got to page 8 and found myself saying ‘yes!’ as I read about the problem vs solution exploration model. ‘Yes!’ is my internal monologue as I reflect I have seen exactly the consequence of imbalance just recently.Anyway, gotta go. Need to read on!Thanks - so far so great. Already feeling the love.

A no nonsense guide to change
This book takes change management and makes it accessible for anyone. It has a strong, practical focus that does not try and sugar coat the complexity of change but offered some useful insights into how to make change better.
