Great!!!!
I can't tell you enough how pleased I am with WORMS????!!!!! Laughing Out Loud Here!!! I can't believe I'm excited over worms!! I ordered the 250 package. They came USPS so quickly and so well packed. I ordered these for my veggie garden but have only placed them in a large(maybe 2ft x 2ft x 2ft) strong cardboard box and placed the box inside a heavy duty trash bag to make a water tight inexpensive container. A mixture of peat moss, store bought garden soil, and store bought potting soil. It's not called for, just what I had laying in the garage and mixed the three of them almost equal parts. I moistened the soil(not wet) and added the worms. I keep them on my back covered patio and water them once a week just to keep the soil mixture lightly moistened. The box gets only a few hours a day of direct sunlight but mostly in the shade of the Summer Sun. It's been about 3 weeks now and reached my hands loosely cupped through the soil and all the way to the bottom and have hundreds of very healthy and happy worms. I cannot believe how many in each handful throughout the entire homemade container I made. The cool part is how neat the bag was tied and the bag itself is a conversation piece. This cool green color cloth/nylon(not sure what the bag is made of) with the UNCLE JIM'S WORM FARM LOGO and cartoon type picture of UNCLE JIM. I washed it in a gentle cycle and air dried it and framed it and hung it up in my Bar. Hey!, I'd buy even just a few empty new bags alone just for conversation and Hey again Uncle Jim, do you sell T-Shirts? Very Cool Stuff. Thank you, great product, packaging and service!!! You also get great, easy directions and some neat educational worm science info. By the way, I'm an Electrical Engineer not a farmer or fisherman, just an avid gardener.

The easy way to make your own good compost.
The worms came on time, healthy and ready to work (eat). The instructions were excellent and the worms are happily doing what worms do in my basement. No flies, no bugs, no smell.

Arrived healthy
Very happy with my worms. They arrived faster than expected. All healthy and a great start to my vermicomposting.

Well they’re worms alright!
UDPATE: So today was the first feeding. Worms ate almost everything and if I am not mistaken i think I saw some little eggs on the underside of a piece of leftover banana and there was a small amount of worm casting in my bin. Also I definitely did not get enough worms. I ordered the 250 bc I was worried I would have to move to a bigger bin too soon but now that I see what the worms can do I wish I would have just fully committed and got the recommended 1000 worms ORIGINAL POST: The worms came a day early so I was really glad I had the bin prepped already a couple days before. Pretty much just like most youtube videos say there was a jail break the first night and a few rogue worms were anywhere and everywhere the could get to in the morning. The next night a few less were roaming about and also just as most you tubers and the instructions state by the third day the worms were settled and there was far less activity. I am happy with the worms. I should have ordered more to start but I was concerned about having too many since the population will increase over time. I guess I just wanted a slower journey since I am new to vermicomposting and a little freaked out by worms in general. They are far less creepy somehow than even what I see in the yard. Something about seeing that they just want to hunker down and go about their business makes them seem less scary. Overall think they are a good value but was surprised at now little packaging came in the box. Poor little critters must have been sliding all around in the spacious fedex box.

Disappointed
Worms we're not what we were expecting,on top of them being all deceased on delivery, I don't think the delivery person was very observed in noticing that they were a living package. It was extremely hot, and I'm not sure if a neighbor signed or if just left at apartment door, we weren't home at the actual delivery drop, and not sure how accurate the email was to actual time. The worms we're tiny compared to other worms of the same selling description, that have purchased in the past but there were many of them but not able to see if accurate since they were starting to mold and turn to mush when we opened them. I was worried about them being dried out but they were not, to much moisture I believe. I was thinking freeze dried like ants come... Lol It's kind of cruel to subject any living thing to this type of handling, after seeing them in this state. Yes just worms but yes we're just people and as funny as this world works.... Well I hope they did not suffer. Didn't bother contacting seller, didn't want a new batch sent out and put in the same position. Unless delivery driver was more apt to direct time or safer handling. Like a fridge in the truck, it seems not worth my $50, the sellers worm life's at stake, and the drivers mood or schedule to repeat this death sentence. Would of liked money back, but lesson learned and a better more communicated delivery for any future purchase. So overall... Disappointed in delivery, driver, and seller willingness to not put the package through a process that 50/50 chance of survival.. there not a dime a dozen on my dime.... Sorry. Enjoy your payment on your worms behalves. 🪱💰⏳🪦🚚

Wriggling as described. Thanks.
Worms came in good shape. Smaller than I would have liked to use as food for my pet pike. He’ll have to deal with it. Added to a soil bin with some compost to maintain a habitat. These were a replacement for my first shipment that was affected by a flash frost. I appreciate the guarantee.

My new pets!
I ordered 250 worms to add to an 80-Gallon regular composter to see how worms would do and if things would process faster. I am not a super serious composter/gardener and just find it amazing how things break down and it can't hurt to dump compost on my plants. These worms arrived alive within 2 days (earlier than estimated) and pretty good size. I didn't see any dead ones. Some online forums say that this company sends a mix of India Blue and Red Wigglers in the RW bag, but they all looked the same to me. Apparently the Indian Blue worms are more active and prone to escaping or dying so worm breeders don't like them as much as Red Wigglers. These worms came with a really nice two sided information sheet which helped me make sure I am doing everything right. I followed the instructions and put them in my bin with some celery stalks and the stalks were mostly strings by the next day! I have been adding food and moisture to my bin every other day and I think they are doing well. I got so curious I sifted some out to look and I still had a good number of fat healthy worms a week later that seem to be working away on the food and yard waste I am adding. It is hard to sift out the castings and it isn't super magic overnight, but it is still pretty neat. They don't seem to be doing much to the leaves and trimmings in my bin (yet?) but I see the food getting eaten pretty quickly. I also put some horse manure in there before I got them and they seem to really like that. I totally recommend this company as they have been doing it for ages and their website is really informative. The price was right and the shipping was speedy. I don't think I will need more worms because these should breed quickly but if I do want more pets I will reorder from them without hesitation.

Lively Worms
These worms arrived in great condition. The soil they were in was not wet, but it wasn’t dry either. The worms were very much alive and active. I placed them in my garden bed, and they went straight to work. They are still thriving, and very active worms.
