Peep Show is back: the multi-award-winning, critically acclaimed comedy now returns for its seventh series. Mark (David Mitchell) and Jeremy (Robert Webb) are still sharing their flat in south London, but their journey through life is becoming ever more complicated--and bitterly funny. Hear their deepest, darkest and most socially unacceptable thoughts as they navigate their way through a surprising role reversal: Mark, the inhibited, obsessive white-collar drone, is forced to rethink his life after becoming a father, whilst wannabe musician Jeremy, a lazy man with big ideas, finally finds himself in possession of money, power--and, finally, responsibility. Follow Mark and Jeremy from the birth of Mark s baby to his christening. We also meet Mark s parents for the first time, when the boys attempt to celebrate a traditional family Christmas. And a disastrous New Year s Eve party crawl culminates with Mark and Jeremy facing choices that could end their friendship--forever.

Good, But Not Really Great
Sometimes in life you do ask yourself why things happen, and in some cases you can usually work out an answer, but when I heard another series of Peep Show was going to be made it got me thinking about why, and would it really work out? I was scared my favourite show was going to go to the dogs, or get rolled up by Superhans and smoked. How wrong I was, this is a good series from the writers, especially the sidelines, with Jez and his new girlfriend, and his new musical mate Nick. I especially liked the path they took Superhans on, he's always been outrageous and well played by Matt King.A taster of what you can expect, a new baby, more musings about whether Dobby is right for Mark, Jez up to his usual tricks, and a cliffhanger - it's like series 4 all over again. As it has been pointed out, this has no extras, which is a real pity. Was hoping we'd get some of Peep Show's night on the DVD, but as it was rushed out (got to my house before the last episode had been aired) we have nothing more than the episodes. Though this is a good encode, with a DVD9, but sadly still only stereo. Also, why are we not geeing a HD version? It was in HD on 4. Also RipGuard was a bit of a pain on my older DVD player, but on the PS3 it was no problem whatsoever.I am sort of hoping it ends on a high, as another series might not go down as well as this did.

We think we were once in the same bar as Banksy
I have to say I didn't see series 7 on TV and waited for the price of the DVD to drop a bit before buying it ... because the reviews seemed to suggest that Peep Show was finally losing its edge (for want of a better word). So I watched series 7 with some skepticism ... it's hilarious, and I suppose nominally different in that it's evolving. A very noticable change is the full-on swearing. Where once I'd have expected highly inventive insults, now there's a stream of instantly recognisable language. As to whether this somehow lowers the quality of the writing I'll leave to others to assess ... for me it doesn't. I think it has much more to do with the fact that both characters are now totally embracing their fatalism, but still cannot resist acting upon fleeting hope. It's a painfully accurate though obviously amplified portrait of life in the metropolis. Much as I grimace to admit this, I can see a great deal of my more urban friends' behaviour in Peep Show.I don't miss the absence of bonus material, such stuff never being at the forefront of any decision to purchase a DVD.

Best of the series so far.....
I read some of the reviews that made it sound like Peep Show was running out of steam with series 7, so I didn't have high expectations. I live in the U.S. and therefore don't have the oppertunity to watch these shows before purchasing them on DVD, which makes it a risk sometimes to buy a series. I bought this in spite of the not so great reviews, because I figured that a bad series of Peep Show is still better then most of the TV shows that are out there. In the first five minutes of the first episode, I was crying with laughter. Of all the episodes, of all of the series, the first episode of series seven is my favorite. Mark is at his worst when Sophie goes into labor, that paired with Jermery being Jermery in a hospital was completely out of control and laugh out loud funny from start to finish. For me, series seven is their best so far, can't wait for series eight.

Brilliant writing, brilliant acting. UK comedy at its best.
Peep Show is a programme that is filmed in "POV" or Point Of View mode so all the shots are from the position of the eyes of the people the actors are talking to. At first this got a bit of getting used to for the viewers and it did put the director in a bit of a straight jacket - as to get any shot, it would have to be from someone in the scene actually looking...but once you get used to this technique you can enjoy the astonishingly solid characters and the crazy story lines. Hilarious and highly watchable, and a total opposite style of comedy to the American wise guy hero style of sitcom. Here are two total losers and the people in their lives, but who have funny and sometime cringe-worthy escapades. Highly recommended.

Genius!
This comedy production is possibly the best in a generation. The brilliance of it is the reality that it captures. It is completely realistic - almost like a distillation of reality, exposing the hypocrisy and stupidity of people. This series could be used as a primary source to study modern culture, it touches of a very wide array of areas and penetrates each with an insight which amazes as much as amuses. Focusing on a generation of people that have nothing to worry about but no proper sense of purpose either, this series explores the day to day lives of lost souls buffeted around in a cosmopolitan jungle - all searching for something, all self consumed in their search.

Keep em coming
The writing and performing on this show continues to be solid and funny. Some of the episodes are better than others but the season as a whole is definitely worthwile. The Christmas episode was a bit grim. I think my favourite episode was the book club. There are possibly fewer cringey moments than before - but that suits me. The boys are growing up - ever so slightly. Perhaps the advantage of short British seasons is that the viewer does not tire of a show and its characters. This is still fresh and interesting and funny enough. Keep em coming, I say.

Perfection! Best comedy series ever! Buy!!!
This is easily my favorite television series. Favorite comedy series/ favorite BBC series. I love Peep Show with all of my being. I share Peep Show with as many friends as I can manage. The 7th series is an excellent continuation of the series. Fans will love this! Plenty of ongoing gags & maturation of the story.I would double dip to a bluray disk in a second. Only complaint with this release is that there are zero extra features this time around :( beyond that; the series itself is amazing.
