Apollo 1558 Cork Table Runner Set2 40x20cm, Multi-Colour, 40x1x20

I have these either side of my laptop on an over-the-chair table whose work surface is 40 cm x 80 cm, and they fit so exactly it's as if they were made for this table. I couldn't find anything to sit over the whole table top that wasn't a doormat.They protect the table top and I can place a beverage or bowl anywhere on them, no need for coasters. I can also put other items on them, such as my metal tape measure, scissors, knowing the cork can absorb any knocks and the table top won't be scratched.I notice that their size means I could put them on my dining table and not worry about precise aiming when putting a superhot family-size casserole dish down on one; from experience an ordinary size table mat is a little too narrow. Useful, and attractive-looking, for many purposes.If there's a disadvantage, it's that they come in pairs, so you must overbuy if you want an odd number.

Great size and thickness, and perfect for hot pots & pans

Owned older version of these and are many years old. I use them as worktop savers for hot pots and pans and they are very good for placing down the centre of a dining table for hot dishes etc

I had not seen a cork runner like this before and really like it. It is a good width and nice and long, also very thick. Really useful. What is not to like? Will probably buy another.

Great thickness of cork. Good size and length for dining table. Would be good if they came coated as a stain protector.

Does a great job and can be placed over the table runner as it’s slim.

Perfect size coaster. I use one to put hot dishes from the oven on my work surfaces and the other one sits on top of my microwave oven for a similar reason always supposing you would not have any vents on top of your microwave of course.
