Good quality but incomplete
This keypad is only part of what's required to create a decent secure door lock.Inside the box is the keypad fitting and 10 fobs along with an installation guide and user manual. What's not included is a locking mechanism and a switch for inside the room you might have used this on so you can get out again. You also need a power supply. Some technical and electrical expertise is also a prerequisite. All that said this is a good piece of security equipment. The body is well made and the keypad responds nicely to even light presses. The backlight is useful for dark areas. The fobs are easy to programme and the unit recognises them easily and the option to use a pin code is a great secondary way to gain access.Verdict: Not too expensive but not a complete solution. Manufacturers should consider bundling this with a locking mechanism and secondary switch.

Handy for access to our garden
We're keen fossil hunters and will often spend the day out at the beach fossiling, coming home covered in mud and with a couple of bags of fossils to add to our collection. Rather than coming through the house, we prefer to come in through the back gate, but it's a big pain to have to root through bags looking for keys when you've got a heavy bag on your back!Being able to unlock the door with a keycode has just made things so much easier. Our back gate is off from a dark alleyway, so it lighting up to make the keys visible is an excellent feature. It was easy to install and is still working despite the rain we've been having, so I think it's safe to say that it is weatherproof. We've tested the fobs to see if they work and they work fine, but for us the keypad is the most convenient option for what we need it for. This is a great device for someone looking for a lock that's easy to use and gives you that extra convenience, especially if you've got your hands full or can't easily retrieve your keys.

A robustly made component of an entry system, but with limitations
This is the fixture that users of a keyless entry system will interact with. What is not included is a power supply and indeed a magnetic lock. These will have to be purchased separately. What is included is the keypad itself, ten RFID tags and a really easy to follow instruction booklet which explains all the steps needed to install and program the unit. If this weren't enough there is an excellent video on the vendor's web page on Amazon which shows all the steps needed. The keypad consists of a strong aluminium box. This sits outside the door to be accessed and the keys are used for initial programming of the system. Once everything is set up authorised users can be given either a numerical code to enter on the keypad to unlock the door, or an RFID tag which will do the same thing. For people without authorization there is a doorbell facility although you will have to produce your own sign to make this obvious if you enable the facility.I already have a entry control system to a secure area and imagined I would be able to add this keypad to the existing system to open a second door. The problem is that the key fobs that come with this system are not compatible with the key fobs on my existing system. This is very irritating, Especially as it is down to my lack of detailed research. Giving people two fobs would be confusing Not to mention being a permanent reminder of my incompetence.Worse, from our point of view, I have been advised that the key fobs for this system work on 125 kilohertz and that they are not difficult to clone If a bad actor can get access to one of them. All is not lost as we have a storeroom for which this system will be ideal, but using only keypad entry and not the key fobs.In summary, this is only part of an entry system and although it is extremely robustly made it does have limitations. It is entirely my fault that I found it did not work with our existing system. However, the lack of security inherent in the key fobs does make me reduce my star rating to four.

A Keypad That Knows the Key to Security
I recently installed the Digital Keypad from SecureMyDoor, and it’s been a refreshing upgrade from the usual key chaos. The installation was straightforward, and the programming process was surprisingly simple, thanks to the clear and concise user manual. One of the standout features is the keypad’s sturdy construction. Made from durable aluminium, it’s built to handle daily use without any signs of wear. It’s reassuring to have a device that feels solid and dependable, especially when it’s safeguarding your front door. The touchpad backlight is a practical feature, making it easy to see in low light conditions. Its IP65 weather resistance ensures that it stands up to the unpredictable British weather, so there’s no need to worry about it being out in the rain. Both the RFID fob and PIN code options work efficiently, offering flexibility and convenience. It’s especially useful when your hands are full, allowing for quick access without fumbling around.Overall, this Digital Keypad is a worthwhile investment. It’s reliable, well-made, and looks smart on the wall. SecureMyDoor has done a fine job with this one, and I’m happy to give it my recommendation.

Good build quality but has limitations
I wanted to like this as for the current £54.99 price point is is very well made. You can feel the weight as soon as you lift it and I was impressed with the build quality. Its downfall however is that there are very few products that will work with it. (Lock not included) and the fobs do not appear to be compatible with much else. The instructions also don't provide you with a list of compatible products which would be useful.
