These larger Clover Amour hooks are not in aluminium like the thinner hooks but are in plastic. Still, they slide very well, are very light in weight and with the soft, rubbery handle it is so much easier to hold for hours. It will not give you cramps like the ones that have no soft, rubber handle. I have every Clover hook in different sizes, both metal and plastic, and they are between the best. I reach for them all the time over other brands. They are great with different types of fibers, like acrylic, wool and cotton. With these types of fibers the hook worked very well, always gliding through the stitches and being very easy to hold and use. I usually shy away from acrylic hooks because they don't slide as easily, but this one is different. I would recommend this hook and the Clover hooks in general to anyone. You won't know how easy crochet can be (as ease of movements) with this hook until you have tried one.

I’m a Clover-addict. I have all sorts of sizes and love them all. I’ve bought this twice because I broke the head off of one with my shear strength. But it’s a lovely hook, nice length and easy to hold. I do wish it was metal like the smaller sizes, but I shan’t complain too much because it’s still my fave.

I love Clover crochet hooks as I find them very comfortable to use. I used this hook for approx 4 hours per day using a chunky chenille yarn and finished my blanket in 3 days with no aches or cramps in my hands. Would highly recommend these hooks!

Have always preferred wooden hooks and been very windy of the plastic ones. This hook has changed my mind. I ordered this out of desperation as my original 10mm wooden hook had developed a burr which was snagging and this was the quickest hook to obtain so I could continue my project without delay. I absolutely love it. Glides through the yarn beautifully and is comfortable in the hand.

I have only recently started using these Clover Amour hooks and I won't use any others now. They are as light as a feather, lovely to hold, as they don't make my wrist ache. Even though the hook is plastic the yarn moves through it so smoothly with no catches or snags whatsoever. I also have one of the metal hooks in that range and it is just as good as the plastic ones. Definitely recommend them.

Ya tengo varios ganchos para tejer de esta marca en 8, 9, 10 y 12 mm, son la mejor inversión para quien gusta de tejer, ya que a diferencia de otros, estos ganchos son ergonómicos, así que te cansas mucho menos al tejer, te lastimas menos y el silicón jamás se despega del plástico. Realmente los mejores ganchos que he tenido. Vale totalmente la inversión, porque sí, no son baratos.

I thought because it’s plastic it wouldnt be good quality and durable. But I think it’s really good and easy to crochet. Maybe dont be too harsh to be sure. but I’ve never felt like its gonna break or anything. Im happy with my purchase.

These are my absolute #1 favorite crochet hook brand!!! I love how easy they work, no snagging, and no yarn splitting! They're comfy to work with and I can work so fast using these hooks!! Actually looking into getting a whole set of these! I have the 6.5mm (my favorite ), the 8mm (amazing for chunky yarns and Amigurumi) and I have the 10mm (perfect for thick blankets!) I'll definitley be getting more Clover products!
