What dia. pipe does the (right hand end of the image) pipe fit to?

Depends on what size pipe you have ordered as it can be bought in a couple of sizes usually 32mm or 40mm and is normally the same at both ends

Could i use this to extend an external waste pipe from the kitchen sink into the outdoor drain. current waste pipe is too short. it's 1.5" wide. thank

I suppose you could, but the walls of the pipe are made thin to be flexible and could be damaged if pushing through a brick wall. I don't know if the plastic is UV resistant (could go brittle in the daylight). Bare in mind the outdoor weather too.

Would this be suitable to run direct from the sink to the waste outlet pipe?

No-this is 1 1/2" most basin wastes are 1 1/4" and you would still need a trap if you got the correct sized one. Connecting to the waste pipe would then be dependant on what type of waste you have e.g compression 1 1/4" or glued ABS of which there are various sizes depending on make (B&Q and Wickes stock different brands that are different diameter sizes! )
