Golden Acrylic Satin Glazing Liquid

I follow a Canadian Artist who paints on YouTube every week. He recommends using Amsterdam paints and Golden Acrylic Satin Glazing Liquid. I'm new to painting so I'm still experimenting with glazing effects but it's a wonderful product. Not too glossy or shiny and it goes a long way. I've uploaded my version of the Glenfiddich Stag - Monarch of the Glen, where I used lots of glazing to get the colour changes and effects in the fur. I think this was the first time I'd ever used glazing fluid. I'm pretty happy with it.

Works well. Helps to use paints a bit longer and great for details.

Does excatly what it says. One of my favourites to use. Slows drying time, great glaze and gives a lovely satin finish. Highly recommend. Fast delivery.

My Acrylic paint went from drying out in an hour, to me being able to peel away the top layer and still use my paint a day later. Which is great if you get tired of precision work such as miniature painting. I used a metallic paint, and expected a different finish, however it doesnt seem to give much extra finish compared to thinning with water? Not sure if its about ratios or if its just basically matte. Perhaps I should have tried my luck with a glossy one. Either way, if you just need a matteish finish, and want your paint to flow a bit better and not dry out the second you arent using it, its nice to have and will last a while.

I use this to prepare my Bible Pages it is brilliant. I prefer using this product to Gesso because it leaves the page smoother after it dries and not as sandy. I am really pleased with this purchase and have just purchased another bigger bottle. Great!!

Excellent liquid, makes the paint blend easily.

I am new to painting and acrylics are notorious for drying quickly. Using this helps the paint be soft and smooth and allows the blending of acrylics to be more effective or at least for me a lot easier. Don’t need to use loads so it lasts a long time and I prefer it to using the flow improver. It does not weaken the paint pigment and keeps the paint from being too watery. If you are new to painting with acrylics I would definitely recommend this product.

Great product, easy to use with really good outcome. First time of use and I love it.

I purchased this for use as a base to keep alcohol markers from bleeding through pages in adult coloring books. I found it very easy to use and put two thin coats just to be sure it was well protected. i was a little skeptical, but also very pleased that it worked great-- No bleed-through. Just know that it does cause the paper to curl a little. I weighted it overnight after it dried which helped with the curling, but it still curled a little along the edges. It worked great for markers, so I tried gel pens and colored pencils on the same page. The gel pens sit on top of the paper instead of being absorbed which leaves a shiny appearance on the page and resulted in a longer drying time. The colored pencils worked fine, although it did produce a grainy texture with the pencils. It still looks good, especially with the base coat of the alcohol markers. It's a good product, goes on easily and evenly, dries quickly, and produces the dersired effect. I'll keep in on hand from now on.

Ich benutze das Golden Satin Glazing Liquid zum Grundieren von nicht aquarellgeeignetem Papier in Malbüchern um darauf mit Aquarellfarben zu colorieren (Inktense, Aquarellstifte usw.). Das funktioniert deutlich besser als mit normalem Gesso, das ja immer mehr oder weniger körnig ist.

È un prodotto ottimo per fare velature con i colori acrilici. L’ho adoperato anche per proteggere i disegni a carbone su cui andare a mettere il colore. È satinato ed io preferirei una finitura matta
