Q: what is the diffrence between the red cap and the black cap as i was told to get the blacke= capped one and i wanted to know why

In the last 25 years I have seen and bought only the red cap product. I didn't know a black cap version existed. The red capped product has always provided excellent slide lubrication on my very old Bb Conn 18H (jazz) and my Jupiter 636 large bore Bb/F (band/orchestral).
