Super practical!
The guide to have if you travel on your own without a group! You can find anything: monuments of culture with entry fees and how to visit them, hotels, restaurants, bars ... depending on how much you want to spend! The size is very handy and the book is pocketable.

Reading list for India
Excellent guide book. Get this and Culture Smart India and you'll need no further reading matter, that is unless you get William Dalrymple's Nine Lives - which really sets the scene.

Very useful guide
Lots of very useful information, clearly from experienced travellers. It made preparation fir our trip easier. On the downside, you read useful stuff then can't find it again because it's not listed in the index. Other than that I'd have given it 5*

A good, all-round guide
This was really useful as a practical guide and this had the right balance of just enough information - ebooks just don't work when touring

Good guide for independent travellers
Good information for accommodation and where to eat. There are better and smaller guides for info' on where to visit.
