Kit containing two descaling sachets and a water hardness tester. The sachets contain a fine powder dissolves easily in water. This will allow you to eliminate any limescale deposits that collect during use. Regular descaling will extend the lifespan of your appliance. Limescale is the main cause of breakdowns. Instructions for use: Dilute one sachet in 500 ml of water then add the solution to your appliance's tank and start the machine. Used it twice to clean my virtuoso Krups machine. Straightforward usage and job done.

My Krups Dolce Gusto coffee machine basically stopped working and I thought I would have to dump it. The machine (about 2 years old) was making all "the right noises", but no liquid (milk or coffee) was coming out. I put a sachet of the Krups Descaling powder through the system and it now works perfectly. Fortunately I had kept the instruction manual for the machine as there are no instructions on the box of powder regarding usage (I imagine this is because it can be used on various machines which could be all descaled differently?). We don't use the coffee machine very often, so I will probably do the same process with the second sachet in about 6 months time. If it's any help, my instruction manual indicates 1 litre of cold water with 1 sachet of powder but I would imagine that you could get cleaning instructions online for specific machines (?). This product was a good price and did exactly what it said on the box - I would recommend it!

There was no instructions about how much water to mix this with and the 'powder' was a rock solid lump. I just guessed and mixed it with a litre of water. Not good when I bought this thinking this was best for my Krups Espresso machine. I feel I may as well have gone for a cheaper equivalent.

This product was easy to use. I unfortunately didn't rinse the machine out thoroughly after descaling and my first coffee was undrinkable. My fault. I would have no problem in recommending this seller. I received this product in good condition and in good time.
