Wonder Care - 3 Balls Incentive Spirometer | Deep Breathing Lung Exerciser | Washable and Hygienic

As a new to asthma (last 3 years) asthmatic and someone who seems to have been hit with a few bouts of bronchitis this year, I have decided I need to exercise my lungs each day, both through walking and general exercise but also through specific lung programs. I bought one of these purely as a cheap something to try and frankly it has surprised me. I use it every couple of hours for a few minutes and after using it I feel much more alive, able to breath and feel like it is working my lungs for their benefit. I can't say this will be the same for everyone, but for such little outlay why wouldn't you give it a try in my situation.

Works perfectly. I can only assume those who claim it doesn't create enough pressure were blowing instead of sucking. True the plastic tube comes off easily - how else would you be able to clean the product so thoroughly.

I bought this Wonder Care 3-Ball Incentive Spirometer for my mum, who has COPD. It seems to work well, the price was reasonable, and the delivery was prompt, but unfortunately it broke after a short period of use. Disappointed with the durability.

I purchased this lung exerciser from Amazon Warehouse for half the price, it was an unused item, the box was supposed to be missing. It was unused, sealed in a bag and came with a rather battered box. I chose to buy it this way because the quality did not seem so good and the full price seemed excessive. When it arrived I found the product itself is really not very good quality at all but is still useable and suitable for what it was meant for. The tube consistently comes off if it is moved too much, which is very annoying, having said that when it is on it, the fitting is tight enough to keep the seal between itself and the exerciser. How long that will last, I do not know? The trick is once you have a comfortable position try not to move the pipe too much. Having said that, the pipe does also need to be removable for cleaning purposes. In fact it all comes apart so it can be cleaned, the pipe is the only issue with that process. Looking at it now, I would definitely not have purchased it at full price. In my humble opinion the quality is similar to a cheap child's toy, particularly the tube and one ball has a cut/marked indentation in it. Even the deal price seems rather expensive for what it is made of. When I first got it and used it, I was disappointed to find I could not raise the last ball, which is blue. In fact I was so miffed that I tried all the balls in different place to see if that would change anything! It did not. The blue ball is a slightly smaller size. Today, I find my lung capacity has already improved and I managed to get the blue ball half way up the tube! Strangely satisfying, even though I only did that once in 15 times. The other 14 times it lifted a tiny amount and spun. It was very encouraging and gives me motivation to continue using it to improve my lung capacity. I think the actual process is a simple and excellent idea and clearly works very well from my own experience. However, I would have preferred something more robust as it is something I will use as part of my daily routine.

It really helps to exercise my lungs

It was cheap. I needed one to exercise my lungs whilst recovering from a massive pulmonary embolism but didn't want to spend loads as it's use was short term. It is rather cheaply made and the breathing tube easily comes off. Probably therefore not very accurate but that is is not really the point. It is compact and does the job. I no longer need it.
