Excellent value for money
I bought one of these for our kitchen as this is where our boiler is and we also have gas cooking hobs.I was very impressed with the quality of this CO detector and alarm. It is made by a reputable company and is of excellent build quality. The instuctions are clear and comprehensive and tell you the best place to mount it. I also liked the fact that the instructions explained how to test that the actual CO detector works as well as the warning siren, which gave me complete peace of mind that I can rely on this to tell me if dangerous levels of CO are ever present. The instructions recommend that one of these is placed at least in every room that has a combustion appliance, but I have ordered another one for our upstairs landing just to be on the safe side. The fact that these are being sold for £10 more in B&Q and Wickes makes this an even better buy on here.

Average build and value
I bought this through Amazon at a cost of £14.50 in mid Feburary 2017.It is sold as a Prime item promising inclusive next day delivery to Amazon prime membersThere is no indication as to the postal charges applicable to non Amazon prime membersYou cannot rely on the next day delivery promiseThis unit is quite compact and reasonably obscure to look at even with the LEDS that dictate the units status.Instructions in microscopic print, you WILL need a magnifying glass to read them.Fixing in place was very easy. The test sound was reasonably loud but not overload.I live in a bungalow and have fixed the unit in the utility room of my kitchen next to the gas boiler.I doubt I that I would hear it from my bedroom.Overall, this feels and looks like a decent unit, approved by my gas fitter during a service and has recognised safety approved logos and certifications. The cost is fairly average including delivery on an internet basis. There is better value for the same unit with a little effort.

Failed after 3 years
Bought this item in Feb 2022 and it has now failed to work. Bleeps constantly and does not stop with new batteries. Has 7 year warranty how do I get replacement

Just the job and reasonably priced
Good delivery. Exactly what I ordered. Straightforward to fit. The instrictions were OK - particulary good regarding hazards of Carbon Monoxide. It is suggested that the "battery tap be kept for future use - this is because at one end it has two metallic pins which when plugged in disable the device - to activate the device they must be removed together with the tap. To disable the alarm the pins must be re-insterted.

Nice looking detector, not too big or noticeable either. Dead loud too!
Seems to work fine when we try the test button, the green light flickers to show it's active so can only assume it's all good and everything is working as it should do. Apart from attempting a bit of carbon monoxide poisoning to make sure it goes off when it should I'll have to trust the sensor is working! Similar to a fire alarm really I guess - you have to put trust in the product that the sensors are working without setting your house on fire to try it, and that the test button isn't just making sure the bleeper is working and batteries have some life left. All in All, nice product, looks good, LOUD beeper, not too large so you can pop it near your log burner (or whatever you think might poison you) without ruining the look too much, and certainly worth having in your home. So FIVE big ones for this.
