I never leave reviews but this product deserves high praise.It endures a hard work out really well, so even when working at full pelt it is super sturdy and it doesn't rock or creak. The movement is also seamlessly smooth and quiet (unlike some I've used).As others have commented, initial assembly is a serious piece of work and its really heavy once built so I'd recommend building it close to where you want it to live. However, once the machine is built it is compact, rock solid and very smart.I wasn't sure how useful the variable stride feature would be but its really easy to vary it and I have actually enjoyed working out with it on different settings so as it turns out, its a feature I'm enjoying.A few other features are not mentioned but are useful; the inbuilt speakers (for your iPod etc), drinks holder and pulse monitoring are all good. And I would also say that the body fat analyser was good too, except that apparently I am 'slightly overweight' so I'm still in a strop over that... ;-)I nearly didn't buy this because it seems so expensive compared to other bargain models on Amazon but I personally think this is worth every penny.

Having done a lot of research, I ordered the JTX trifit cross trainer. The delivery was prompt and I was given a two hour delivery window the night before. The cross trainer was relatively easy to unpack. It took two of us about one and a half hours to put together - all tools needed are included, and the instructions are clear. I think it needs two people, as it's heavy and hard to get out of the box alone. Once constructed we plugged it in - everything worked perfectly, and because I had watched the you tube video before constructing, and taken time to make sure it was put together properly, the cross trainer was almost silent in use. The action of the flywheel was incredibly smooth, and I found the console intuitive to use. I found good resistance levels on the machine, and the incline was definitely challenging ( but also quick and easy to adjust ). I'm 1.65m tall, so the stride length felt good for me. My hesitation in giving five stars is the pulse sensors didn't always pick up my heart rate, but there is a chest strap if you like using them. The slight difference between this machine and the professional machine I use at the gym was the angle of the arm movement, at the gym my arms are a right angle to my waist, on this machine I had to reach up and forwards, which for me wasn't as comfortable, maybe if you are taller it would be more natural. Overall, this is a good solid machine, from a company that really does have good customer service, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, even though I returned mine.

This was bought for both my husband and I to use. We had different specifications for the piece of equipment we were going to purchase.I am primarily an outdoor runner; the equipment was bought specifically to improve my core strength and stamina and for use on those days in the UK where the weather really does prevent you from being outdoors! I use the n] machine every other day on my running rest days.My husband required something, with a low impact facility, a steady build up of exercise opportunities and programmes specifically designed to improve heart health. Again ideal for those days when his long walks are not possible. He uses the machine every day.He is 6’4 and I am 5’4. He weighs 14 st, and I weigh 9 st 4lbs. The stride is easily adjustable as is the incline level.The JTX Tri-fit cross trainer suits both of us and meets our needs perfectly.• Ordering, delivery service and all dealings with JTX Fitness were exemplary• Easy to assemble-my husband completed it alone• Minor ‘niggly’ noise was dealt with easily, after communication with the JTX team, who were extremely helpful ( Just a minor tightening job)• The Cross trainer is so easy to use; maybe the instruction manual is a little sparse in detail for programme use, but again JTX are only too willing to assist and the programmes are easily recognised, once you use the machine• Programme is simple to do and individual personalised programmes may be stored easily• The Cross trainer runs very smoothly and is extremely quiet• Very smart and streamlined machine, fits very neatly into our leisure room• It fulfils everything stated in the product information• Follow up courtesy call is very welcome tooHusband has lost two inches from his waistline. I, because of the improvement in my stamina, have increased my running distance.We are absolutely delighted with the product and the service. We have no hesitation in wholeheartedly recommending the Tri=fit Cross trainer and JTX Fitness.

The original screen lasted about a year before it malfunctioned. The replacement sent on guarantee lasted a similar time. JTX refused to replace that one, so had to buy a third from a dealer recommended by them. This has now ceased working after only 9 months. The trainer is kept in our unheated garage. There are no warnings that this might be unsuitable and when querying this was informed it shouldn't be a problem.Despite always drying the machine religiously after use, it has rusted badly in several places.
