Worked great! HAS TO HAVE A NEUTRAL WIRE!
This switch looks great. The connections were simple just know you HAVE to have a neutral. This is not a good light switch replacement for older houses. Performs flawlessly and was a snap to hookup. Becuase of the bulk wiring of this device, the old box was too small. I had to replace the box with a larger handi box. Added some time to the project. But this is a quality product! 5/5

Doesn’t work for normal standard 240VAC whole house hot water heater!!!
Beware!!! So, I have a extremely normal 240VAC split circuit 50 gallon electric hot water heater for the USA. In the US their is no place to hook up a neutral wire on the hot water heater. Therefore all I’ve ever seen is usual 10/2 wire ram from a double pole breaker. Both the black and white wires are used as “Hot” wires. 120VAC from both legs to supply 240 to the tank with an additional un-insulated “bare” ground wire. A ground is not a neutral, this switch can’t accommodate. It may work in the EU or other places but not for a 240 in the US. I’ll likely keep it a us for something 120 with a neutral.

Switch failed/dead after 2 months - (Update)
The seller promptly responded to my request for technical assistance. I gave a detailed description of the issue and the troubleshooting steps I had performed. The point of failure was where the line connector is soldered to the main board, the solder did not apply correctly causing a gap (was probably just a manufacturing defect, these things happen). They offered a full refund without hesitation.I have another one of these installed in a different room that was no problem to install and works just fine so I'm going to take a chance and use the refund to just reorder the same again.Original review -One of the 2 units i purchased has become "dark" with no signs of power after only 2+ months of regular use. Power is still on for the circuit and I've tested the line and ground wires and both are working. Ive tried resetting the breaker as wellI've reached out to the seller for support because I am past the return window. Ill revise my rating once I get support needed to make it work again .

Pleasantly surprised
Does what it is supposed too and then some.Has some features I have no seen in other switches.Sort of confusing A ratings as 20A in on place and 10A in another. Then When I got realized when it was labeled 2000W MAX Well that is near 20A @120V and 10A @ 240V it is both capable of. What many don't realize is circuits are no meant to run at their MAX rating... that is the current at which exceeded failure occurs generally speaking not more than 80% is considered a safe continuous load.My water heater is 2000W no no real problem there. My only complaint is that the conductor lockdown set screws are sort of tiny. They do have a slight bur to keep them form being backed out too far but be careful they can fall out with just a little too much force. As to functionality, beyond expectations. Has a nich feature called inching for a reason I don't quit get but allows you to set a fixed time to off period. So saves you from having to set off timers for each event. Also for some reason you manually turn on during an off period, it will still go off after the preset period should you forget to turn it off again.I have mine set up to go on for 3 10min periods between 9am and 6pm. Working well fot single person use. Beforee I figued out what inching was last timer I set for off I forgot to change it from the default on setting so stayed from 6p to 10:10a the next day. So I was surprised to see it had used almost 4KWh when should have been just one KWh.But that accident told me two things I will be saving about 3KWh/day or 90KWh/mo about $18/mo aat current rates, so switch payed off in about one month. Also while it can't sense amount of load (you have to set that in the Smart Life App) but it senses thee is load , vs counting entire switch on time.Another thing I discovered is the timers are stored and executed from the cloud, so If you phone happened to be away from wifi or cell coverage they will all still occur on schedule. If you have a water heater of 2000W or less this is a great and versatile bargain.
