Fountains don't bleed through, and they are small enough that you can carry several (I put a different research topic in each. Using them for research notes on my thesis. I number each page and make an index in the back so I can find things when I'm finished. Very satisfying for those of us who prefer writing our notes rather than typing everything. Great value. More durable than you might think for a paper cover. Colors are lovely. Not too many pages, which I like because it reduces bulk.
