Fear of fireworks no more. There’s too many reasons not to use!
I bought this for a special needs dog who had numerous disabilities. It very much helped her to relax. I started out sprinkling a wee bit in her food, until we figured out how much she needed to find her sweet spot to relax without using too much. Our veterinarian suggested this. We bought our first box from the clinic, then found it for less in here.It smelled like meat, she liked it. Simple to use, I just sprinkled it in her meal and stirred it in. She could function normally for her, while this calmed her and let her be her.**We used with our other dog who has fear of fireworks, and it helped immensely.Definitely would buy again and suggest to others.

Works great and my dog loves it
We’ve been using this for about a year now and it has made such a positive impact on my dog’s anxiety. He used to have these weird bouts of pacing, panting, shaking. Almost like panic attacks every now and then. I looked up ways to help and came across this product so gave it a try. After about the two months or so, I could see he had less stress. He hasn’t had a panicky episode since we started. He’s 10 and can be super picky with new treats and foods, but he scarfed this up on the first try and eats it with his dinner every night without issue. I would recommend this for anyone whose dog may have some anxiety.

Purina Calming Care stopped my dog's bad behavior
Holy Frijoles!! A dog calming supplement that actually works. After about five weeks of shaking out a packet of the granules over her food every morning, my Golden-doodle stopped jumping and biting my gloves and clawing at my arms, when we return from the daily walk. Also, she stopped jumping on visitors, so I no longer have to quickly sequester her away, whenever the doorbell rings. The calming effect began intermittently, coming up on the fifth week, but a few days after that, the bad behavior completely stopped. As for the reviewer, who complained about the cost: how much money did you waste on crap that didn't work, before you found this calming supplement? And gladly I'll pay more for a trusted manufacturer, veterinarian approval, and a flavor that my dog likes.

Helps alleviate some aggressive behavior
My chihuahua is a very possessive high strung dog and started showing some major aggression towards my mellow senior dog. This has helped alleviate maybe 80% of the aggression which I’m thankful for. With consistent dosing I see results but if I skip a dose or lapse in my subscription I definitely notice a shift back to his usual behavior.

Highly recommend!
I wanted to wait to write this review until I had used it for long enough to truly give honest feedback. I will start by saying it definitely takes the full 6 weeks to take effect but once it does it is life changing. My dog has severe anxiety mostly related to noises (ring tones, text messages, bells) We had been trying hemp chews and other supplements but nothing was working. The vet recommended this powder before trying a medication that was more of a sedative. Again, it took the full 6 weeks but now he is in such a good place. We give it in the morning only and he instantly goes and lays down and falls asleep for his morning nap afterwards. This hasn’t happened in years! Highly recommend and will continue using.

Didn't work for my dog, but glad it helps others'
I have a very high-strung Corgi, and after a month of using this product, it had no effect on his behavior. That doesn't make the product bad, just that it didn't work on my pooch. It's effectiveness likely depends on what's causing your dog's excitability. Reading other reviews, it seems to work well for many, but I'll have to keep looking.

Used these for several months & things are back to normal!! Vet suggested them but takes more than 1 box to get into their system

Works well but this is TOO HIGHLY PRICED, same as Probiotics Bifidobacterium Longum BB536
This probiotic works VERY WELL in perhaps most dogs. We are so much a product of what is colonizing our guts, human and beast alike! We don't even realize that what we eat AFFECTS WHAT WE THINK (this is an entire field of research and it is fascinating and well established!)This is a HIGHLY DESIRED PROBIOTIC, butPURINA IS CHARGING TOOOO MUCH FOR THIS PROBIOTIC ...(current pricing January 2024 is over a dollar a day! Available in January 2024 in other packaging for less than 25 cents per day!)...simply because of their name, the perceived exclusive access, and some broth flavoring.>>>Instead, search forProbiotics Bifidobacterium Longum BB536...Available here on Amazon, and save yourself a lot of money, and send a message to Purina that we consumers can research medical literature and figure out that Bifidobacterium Longum BB536 is the EXACT SAME probiotic! Some bacteria have been given a different name in the past to now, the same as plants can have more than one botanical name -- actually they have an older name and a corrected updated name.It is common for example in te plant trade for nurseries to not give up an old botanical name and yet current scientific literature has the new botanical name. So one must know both names to learn accurate information about such particular plants. That is what is happening here.Research it for yourself if you desire on Google Scholar and other published science search sites. It did take me a day of research to figure it out, but I had a hunch that since I could not find this name ANYWHERE --- WHY IS THAT??? -- that there was perhaps another name at play. Why would Purina be the ONLY access to a particular probiotic??!!! That answer is: THEY ARE NOT THE ONLY ACCESS.And what else is happening here is that Purina has found a lifesaving control for anxious pets, and priced it obscenely high.Search for BB536 and save yourself a heap of money. Break open the capsules and sprinkle on pet's food.Watch their calmness levels increase.Highly recommend the probiotic. I do use other of Purina's products for quality at a decent price.Wake up Purina and stop gouging the public.
