Stikatak Rug Anti Kreep Non Slip Rug Mat Underlay Keeps Rugs In Place 110 x 80cm

I had just changed my hall carpet and gone all out, deep pile and expensive underlay. To protect it, I had an off-cut 'whipped' and made a lovely hall runner. Because of the pile, it was like a surf-board. You only had to look at it and it moved! I was cautious about buying Stikatak because it's quite pricey and what if it didn't work. I wish I hadn't waited, it's amazing stuff! So sticky, but without any residue. When you vacuum, just pull it up and lay it down again when you're done. Only downside was the lack of instructions. Just lay it on the floor where you're rug will go and then place the rug on top. 100% recommend this. I would have scrapped the runner if it hadn't worked, so I'm very happy!

This used to be an excellent product. It used to have a thin plastic layer on one side that you removed before placing face down on your carpet. It no longer has this, and, as a consequence, doesn't stay put. The original one of these that I bought some years ago is still working but the one I've literally just bought has already failed and did so on the first day. Don't bother wasting your money on a product that claims so much but delivers so little.

I cut this to fit our 2m x 80cm runner near the front door.Although it does cut out a lot of movement, the mat still crept across the carpet (only an inch or two each day), leaving the anti-kreep material visible and in place - firmly stuck to the carpet. After a few weeks of putting the mat back in place the top side of the anti-kreep started losing its stickiness and it spiralled from there. Then one day the dog took a liking to it and pulled it all up and put it in its bed.I've come to the conclusion that the only way to stop a mat creeping across the carpet is to nail it to the floor.

This wouldn't work for any of my rugs on laminate floor, they just bunched up or slipped. Then I realised it was sticking to the floor OK, but it wasn't sticking to the rugs. I bought spray carpet adhesive and sprayed it onto the back of the rugs then stuck the stikatak to it. Perfect results in every room now, nothing moves but they are easily lifted up when needed. Results must depend on the type of backing on your rugs.

Worked to a certain extent but nowhere near as good as I'd hoped, still some carpet creeping although better than having nothing.

I bought some of this about 2-3 years ago for a small rug between kitchen and dining room. It lasted this long and NEVER moved at all. However with a lot of footfall on the rug it had started to lose its power of grip, so I bought some replacement. Unfortunately I can only give two stars as it has not prevented the rug from moving. Disappointing having had 1st class results from initial purchase.........Update on previous review. Don't ask me the physics behind it but I put a second layer down and lo.......my rug is now NOT moving. Weird but it's working, so based on this I'd upgrade to 4 stars but not 5, as the problem required twice the material than before.

This is a great product which I bought in January 2014. I have smooth laminate flooring and had tried several other non slip underlays but they didn't solve the slip problem. Stikatak works! I have a toddler a dog and my rug is down in the main throughfare of the house. Since using the stikatak underlay my rug has stayed put, I can even vacuum it without it going anywhere! I am about to purchase another one to see if it will work to stop my sofa cushions from creeping forward, I know that's not an advertised usage, but nothing ventured nothing gained - I will post a review after trialling it.

I bought this product a month ago but waited until now to review it to see if it worked. I am delighted to report it does!I used it under a rug cut from a spare piece of carpet for a protector under my office chair in my carpeted study. I was having to realign the rug several times a day but it has not budged since using the Stickatak. Brilliant- it doesn't inspire you when you unpack it as it looks quite "fragile" but have faith as it certainly works for me!
