Great book but it wasnt quite what I was expecting
I obviously bought this book for our newly acquired pup. Its a great book which goes into the theory of puppies learning extra but I may have not really understood the description. I had hoped it would give you some puppy games etc. esp for a biting & nipping pup esp when the UK weather has been awful with the storm & the pup has a crazy 1/2hr running at you at full pelt. I`m sure when I get the chance to read it all it will an invaluable book but I`m also sure by then our pup will be older. I did previously purchase the same series for dogs which is fantastic & I would highly recommend. The games & information were great for a senior dog (15.5yrs) esp when they have health issues & reduced mobility. The hydrotherapy practice that our old labrador went to due to him having Spondylosis recommended this book & I also can`t recommend the "dog games" version enough

Would recommend!
I bought this book a while back but it’s really come into its own now Ted’s 7months old; it seems more appropriate than it did a few months ago & we’re nicely working our way through...it’s great!I’m pleased I came back to it...would have rated it lower before but wouldn’t be without it now!We did some puppy training from 15 weeks so had a few basics under our belt! Teddy learnt ‘Paw’ in one short session & we’re on twirl so he can stand on a towel & dry his feet!Once his got that we’ll move onto Step Up, Roll Over, Show your Belly...moving up to Jumping into my arms; I’m confident with how it’s going so far this book will continue to give the right steps for us both to progress. There’s more than mentioned & it’s easy to follow!

This book makes good sense
I have a Pomaranian just about 13 months. I think so much about the book that I ordered a paperback as well.I used to have a Doberman at that time: you had to teach by: making your dog abide by your instruction. I went to a few obedience shows and one: beauty show for dogs. My dog got a first for "the best Doberman dog" Followed closely by a 1st for the best "Doberman Puppy" It wouldn't normally be able to happen, but my Doberman dog, was only 9 months and they were classing puppies up to 9 months, he fit into both classes.

A great book to point you in the right direction
Having been 14 years since we last had a puppy in the family, though it would be a good idea to refresh myself of what awaits us and how to try and eliminate errors that we've done / gone through in the past with our previous dogs. Great read and will definite put some of the exercise into practice once we get our puppy. Text and images are great.

Nothing new here
I had hoped for something different in this book to keep a very excitable and energetic puppy interested but there was nothing that does not appear in any good general training guide

This is an absolutely brilliant book. When I first started to read it ...
This is an absolutely brilliant book. When I first started to read it I thought that I was going to be disappointed as the ideas seemed really simple and it contains ideas that most puppy owners would already be doing with their pups. However don't be disheartened by the first few pages as if you read the entire book before judging it you will see that it has a wealth of information and ideas of how to use everyday items and objects to keep your puppy entertained. I have a Border Collie pup and on top of her physical exercise the mental stimulation she needs is astronomical so yes I would 100 per cent recommend this book but read from cover to cover to find out the best activities to suit your own pooch.

A bit dull
My puppy was 4months old when i bought this book and he could already do most of the things in it. Not very interesting
