Needed to tighten the grub screw but the one I've used to assemble Ikea furniture works like a dream. Simple and easy to use dare I say idiot proof. Attach to a drill, offer it up, drill. Result hole right in the middle of the hinge, plate or whatever you fixing. No issues with it getting blocked either.A elegant solution. It's one of those tools you wish you'd bought years ago.

Easy to use and not bad for the price. Don't know how long they will last but does the job.

Given that this will be used to drill into screws/bolts that have sheared - then a left hand thread can sometimes be essential. However short of welding the drill bit into the holder, using a left hand thread drill simply loosens the tightening mechanism holding the drill. Didn't matter how hard I tightened it, it came loose.Drilling right hand thread fine.So limited use for screw/bolt extraction use.

Having read the reviews I nearly did not buy these. For the money I thought I would give them a try.They are good for centre drilling a hinge hole. However, you do have to manually clear the drill bit of debris before you can drill another hole as the debris stops the drill retracting so you can centre drill the next hole. The previous reviews were correct.They are fine for occasional use but as a Carpenter Joiner I would not buy again. Due to the constant debris obstruction in the drill area.

I bought this set about a year ago. I have used them quite a lot. They all still work perfectly. I can't see how anything more expensive could be an improvement, so I would say buy these.

Uses them for a few doors..no issues. Happy customer
