Good. But not everyone will like these
Twizzlers really aren't for everyone. These are an American/Canadian candy. The bad reviews you've already read of them having a weird smell, taste and texture are well... true. They are quite odd and its hard to explain just what they taste like. They don't really have a strong strawberry taste so don't expect them to taste like strawberry laces like we have over here in the UK. Its more like a mild strawberry liquorice flavour.People who are going to enjoy these the most are people who already know what they taste like.I personally love them despite the unusual taste, very addictive.Twizzlers are a bit like marmite, you either love them or hate them but you wont know until you try them.

The very best FDA approved edible chemicals on the market.
In my opinion these iconic sweets are the best representation of the US food industry.As mentioned in another review, these are an acquired taste, they are not unpleasant per se, but there are a few things to consider if you are eating them for the first time:- They smell of nail varnish- You will feel a nail varnish like aftertaste- The strawberry flavor is very mild- They are made mainly from corn syrup and corn starch- The red color they contain is an artificial dye derived from petroleum- They also contains mineral oil (but that's OK: the FDA says is good for you as it acts as a mild laxative)Overall, if you want to experience a true American taste by any means buy this product, but please don't feed it to your dog if you don't like it. The FDA approved the chemicals only for human consumption, PETA would not be happy about it.

I bought these as I fancied some strawberry twist sticks lolErm all I could say about them- plastic texture and very little strawberry flavour about them unfortunately!Disappointed as was really looking forward to eating these! Took to work rather than binning them!

surprisingly addictive
strange one this – I find them quite tasty. Sweet, but not overly so and surprisingly addictive.The knowledge that there isn't a natural ingredient within a mile of the production of these things doesn't help.Like eating soft, solid, strawberry-sugar sauce.

Great to be able to get American confectionery. Looks like licorice but is not !!

Quite good value
I pull them apart & put them in a plastic tub. Leave the lid off for a few hours & they go harder. I might try the fridge as well. Nice flavour too! 🤗
