Good flavour and a good amount of protein
This protein bar is one of the best I've tasted.Other bars that I have tried tasted a bit eww but these ones have a great balance. It's a nice fusion of chocolate and peanut butter without being over powering of either flavour. Each 64g bar packs 20g of protein into it and only 1.9g of sugar which makes it even healthier. One of the things I like about it is that it is palm oil free.So much of our food is packed with palm oil and it is awful for us and the environment. You get 12 x 64 gram bars in the box each individually wrapped so you can grab one on the way to the gym or when you get back.Using these I've managed to get a good protein boost after the gym and it's really helping me get the results I want.I should mention that these bars do contain milk, soya, gluten and barley so if you do have any issues with these I would think carefully about using.Everyone has different sensitivity to these ingredients, I am able to tolerate small amounts so this is fine for me.

Bitter aftertaste
On the whole i have always rated PhD products quite highly, and have used their protein powders, bcaa's, creatine etc... However i haven't tried their protein bars for years as they used to be pretty terrible. They have improved in taste and texture, but they still aren't great. The taste is artificial and there is a bitter aftertaste. I think Grenade and Warrior Crunch bars are far, far better than these. These bars are okay and they have a reasonable amount of protein per bar, but i won't buy again unless they are very, very cheap. Maybe the other flavours are better.

Enjoyed until…
I’ve started with PhD smart few months ago, whilst my wife’s stomach can’t handle these I was actually enjoying the taste. They aren’t the best on the market but price-taste-marcos are a good ratio. The last box I received however was disappointing to say the least. I only had two bars from the box and 2 out of 3 had plastic in them. Won’t be buying again.

Handy meal replacement which helps me stick to my weight loss programme
These dark chocolate high protein bars contain 237 calories and are very tasty. They are high protein with 20g and low sugar (less than 1g). I frequently replace one meal a day with these bars and because I know how many calories etc. in each bar, I am able to monitor my nutritional intake and have been successful in my weight loss and in maintaining that weight loss. Although they contain raspberry, they are not all sweet but even so, they satisfy my occasional craving for something sweet. I keep mine in the fridge, which makes them a little chewy but also means I can eat them more slowly and enjoy their flavour. I don't feel at all guilty consuming one of these bars whilst maintaining my weight loss because they are my little treat which I have allowed for in my plan. For my other two meals a day, I take care to plan them and monitor my nutrition to try and have a healthy balanced diet. I find them very satisfying.
