Great price.
Great product. But remember this is for amateur radii projects only, not for modern mobile phones.

If you're making a crystal radio - then this is exactly what you need, and for less than £2 I'd say buy one
This is a (high impedance) 'crystal' ear piece. This is a perfect example of this type of product and well worth 5 stars. These devices are MONO, they are QUIET, audio quality is NOT HIFI - they are for listening to such devices as crystal radio sets. So they consume almost no power and produce decent quality - quiet, but audible, sound. Just out of idle curiosity, I plugged mine into my laptop and got clear sound from it at slightly lower volume than my cheap skype headset. After that success I also tried it in my phone (Sony Z3) and it worked on that too. Significantly quieter than my cheap chinese phone headset, but not too much quieter due to the fact that the earpiece actually fits into your ear rather than sitting on the outside of it. I know that some users will be a bit squeamish about the fact that the end of the earpiece goes 6 or 7 mm into your ear.... somewhat deeper than iphone5 headset buds do.... if you're one of these people I'd advise you not to buy this. Really, unless you're making a crystal radio (or maybe doing some electrical design work and you want to make an audio probe) you're unlikely to need one of these. If you're making a crystal radio - then this is exactly what you need, and for less than £2 I'd say buy one (or two?)

Good value for money

Obviously this is for something else
I wanted a mono earpiece for listening to my audio devices. Obviously I purchased the wrong thing. At first I thought it didn't work at all, then it worked but very low sound. Seems intermittent - when you wiggle the wire going into the earpiece it seems to help. But that's not much use - for me, cheap but a waste of money.

works well
Need a high impedance earphone for crystal sets and this is about the only one, unless you go for an amplifier, which is probably better anyway.

Best for "Big Ears", not noddy wife.
This works for me, but not for wife with her smaller ears!!!!

all working
These things have been around for as long as I can remember. They will be used to connect to the simplest type of radio receiver that doesn't require a battery or power supply. Using a few simple components and a little bit of maths, radio signals can be picked up. Just wanted to show my kids the sort of things I had to play with and loved. They are cheap but very good value for money. Do not expect hifi quality sound from these, that is not what they are for.

People do not seem to realise what these are.
Several people have reported that these are rubbish. Sadly these people have not realised what they've bought when ordering them. These are what are called high impedance, crystal ear pieces and as such are totally unsuited for use in anything that takes a normal earphone type of head set. If they work at all in your mobile/MP3 player then I'll be surprised. What won't surprise me is that they'll sound like poo! These are the sort of headset that would be used for listening to a crystal set receiver or something with a similar high impedance audio output and, as such, they're perfect. So if you're not sure what you're doing DON'T BUY WITH OUT CHECKING! If you do know and are sure you need a high impedance earpiece then they're brilliant.
