Great but need 5A batteries at least.
Really pleased with mine. For smaller jobs like cutting through bolts etc my 5A DeWalt batteries last quite a long time. However when I cut through some 40 x 9mm flat bar I got through two batteries before making the cut.

great tool to have
great value, like all dewalt fantastic need a 5amp battery, other wise it will run out off power very quick.

You'll need a decent battery for extensive use
Really like it, as a DIYer with a few DeWalt tools went for this while at a good price. First job was to cut down the sheet steel tops and bottoms off some Venetian blinds. It felt very powerful and very precise, and being cordless makes it such a pleasure to use. I don't want to mark it down too much on battery, it uses lots because it's a proper full power angle grinder. However, I would comment it will get through a third of a 2Ah battery with about a minute's use so don't expect to cut all your patio slabs if you only have 2 of this capacity battery, you may be waiting around for them to charge!

Compact but powerful -perfect for occasional use
As an electrician, I use this DEWALT angle grinder from time to time for cutting conduit and small metal jobs. It packs real torque and cuts through materials like a champ—great performance on metal and even tiles. The brushless motor is notably quieter and more efficient, and its compact build makes it easy to handle in tight spaces.

Dewalt grinder
Previously had brushed dewalt grinder-plenty of power and lasted years. This grinder has even more power and going by build quality should last a long time

Very powerful and good to use
Bought this as I wanted to replace a corded 4.5 inch Makita - purely for the blade brake and ability for the machine to cut the power if it detects the disc being stressed.Yes it's expensive for a DIY tool but the safety features are only available on cordless ones... so took the plunge.I've used it to cut 16mm rebar and slice some dense 7n concrete blocks. All handled with ease. I already had a couple of 5Ah batteries but it went through both of them when cutting the blocks - it's quite battery hungry! Not surprising though as it feels WAY more powerful than the 4.5 inch Makita. If you're after a cordless grinder then this, in my view, is an absolute winner. Mind you, it comes with no batteries so that's extra on top. If you have the batteries then this is a no-brainer.
