JJC LH-S1650 Metal Lens Hood for Sony E-PZ SELP 1650

A lens hood for a wide angle zoom lens has a tricky job to do. It can't be too deep otherwise it will infringe on the edge of the photograph and therefore it has a limited effect at the telephoto end in terms of reducing glare and providing shade for the lens.However, I find that lens hoods are really good as stopping people from bumping into the lens, especially during travel and street photography. This lens hood does the job nicely, providing a "ring of steel" around my 16-50 mm zoom lens that reduces the chances of unwanted fingerprints on the UV filter.It fits well, is as compact as the lens itself and the lens cap fits perfectly when it is in place.

Seems to work fine and I can leave it in place with the camera in a stretch case. I basically installed it to protect the front of the lens. I'm not sure how effective the hood can be at preventing light entering the lens from the edges if it has slots cut in it.

Excellent product. It helps with strong sunlight etc, but also protects the lens. Have not taken it off my Sony NEX-6 since I purchased it 10 months ago

Protects the lens from knocks - not that effective as a lens hood though

Nice. Cheap, well-made. Looks and works well. Mounts to a Hoya 40.5mm filter no problem.

I like the hood because I leave it on when camera is in case, but it is a bit awkward to remove the cap.

Great for Sony a6000 stock 16 - 50mm lens.

Very effective at protecting lens.
