Wilton Cake Icer Piping Tip #789

It used to take me ages with a spatula and a palette knife to evenly butter-ice the outside edges of celebration cakes. With this nozzle, it takes no time at all, just need to smooth it off with a palette knife when finished. I use it with a large disposible icing bag, but you could make do with a plastic sandwich bag if push came to shove. Good tool.

Used this for the first time last night for a crumb coat, managed to do a whole level cake in less than 3 minutes, and the crumb coat was thick enough that I just needed a very thin decorative layer on top, applied with an offset spatula. Bear in mind, you need LARGE piping bags for this. When I used a standard Wilton disposable bag I had to cut half the bag off to fit this, though that's an issue with the size of Wilton's bags, this product is amazing.

This tip is a must have for covering cakes with cream. It's use makes it quick application. Moreover, Wilton brand is the best in the business.

This is the best thing EVER to use to ice the sides of a cake with. I'm no professional, but I have made my fair share of cakes, and everytime I seem to have an issue trying to evenly get the icing on or to spread. This tip saves me SO much time now. So happy that I bought this.

I used this product, for the first time, to apply buttercream to a cake (see photo). As the nozzle is very wide, it allowed the buttercream to be applied to the sides of the cake really easily and quickly. Much better than applying icing with a palette knife. This is going to be one of my essential tools from now on.

A great icing tip for icing the sides of cakes. It makes putting icing onto cake for a 'crumb coat' much easier. Saw one being used on you tube and thought I'd give it a go. It is quite big so really needs a large piping bag. Once you get the hang of placing it it makes the job much quicker. Haven't tried using it for any other type of piping. Its really nice one! With using this piping Tip very very easy to cover a cake with butter cream Icing in less time. Its very useful for me. Cake makers must have this Tip!

La sortie de la douille fait 4,5 cm et peut soit sortir un glaçage uni soit cannelé. C'est parfait pour étaler la crème rapidement sur le gâteau. Il faut juste prévoir des poches à douille jetables ou y dédier une poche à douille spécifique vu qu'il faudra couper un embout assez grand pour qu'elle passe. Très contente de mon achat. Par contre prenez vous y à l'avance car le délai de livraison est assez long.

Ho acquistato questo meraviglioso beccuccio per glassare la torta sul lato e ne sono soddisfatta. Wilton la conosco da anni come qualità dei prodotti e anche questo beccuccio la rispecchia: robusto, facilmente lavabile anche in lavastoviglie, fa il suo dovere e diminuisce i tempi di decoro della torta. Io lo inserisco nella sacca da pasticcere usa e getta e poi taglio quanto basta per far fuoriuscire l'intera parte seghettata. Inserisci nella sac a poche la panna o ciò che vuoi utilizzare per glassare e il gioco è fatto: la torta è decorata in pochi minuti con un bel decoro. Grazie per aver letto la mi recensione!
