Mezco - 5 Points XL Godzilla vs Hedorah Boxed Set

This was a birthday gift for myself. I love it. The quality and attention to detail surpassed my expectations. I have it at work and it makes me laugh everytime I look over to see Hedorah amongst the smoke stacks with Godzilla ready to intervene.

i'm a godzilla fanatic and this set is perfect for my collection. i wish they added a atomic breath effect for big G but the eye laser for hedorah is there so no problem. the buildings are to scale with nice effects.

This is a great set i love the little buildings it comes with.and tho they might be similar this is a different godzilla the tale is curled the mouth is shut and the left eye is damaged like in the movie .also if u have both sets ,the extra heads from the D.A.M set can be used with this godzilla also.

I remember watching Godzilla vs The Smog Monster (the Americanized version of Godzilla vs Hedorah), as well as other Big G films, sitting on the couch alongside my dad in the 70s and early 80s. This film was my favorite. I recently watched it again, and boy, what a weird film! Still, it wasa nostalgic experience. This set feeds into that nostalgia -- great detail, and I love that they included the flying and final forms of Hedorah. All the extras are a nice touch, although I agree with one reviewer that it would have been nice to have an atomic breath effect for our boy, G. The downsides: it came to me in an undamaged original box, but that was in one of those paper Amazon "sacks," and I gather it got bounced around a bit, as one of the smoke effects was broken off one of the buildings. A little super glue fixed that. The red beam that is supposed to shoot from Hedorah's right eye does not fit well into the figure, and, if you're not careful, you'll snap it. I had to "squish" the end of it a bit with a forceps to get it to fit into the hole above Hedorah's right eye.Still glad I bought this. The price is a little steep, but, for me, it was worth it for the nostalgia value...and again, well done on the sculpt/paint on both figures, and especially Hedorah's final form!

How I wished I had this set when I was a kid in the 70s. The movie was still called Godzilla Versus The SMOG MONSTER, not Godzilla Vs. Hedorah; it had a much better dub, was shown frequently on tv, and included the unforgettable "Save The Earth" sung by Adrian Russ, in the nightclub/fish mask freakout scene. This set has incredible detail, the Smog Monster in flying form with clear stand, and bi-pedal form, with a plastic laser ray to shoot out from either eye; and Godzilla has an injured closed eye! Plus a few buildings/oil refineries to destroy. This is more for collectors, but the 7-year-old me dreamt of this for so long....

My 8 y/o brother is obsessed with Godzilla so I gifted him this set for Christmas. I know it's more of a collectible piece rather than a toy but I didn't think after 2 days of play the foot should be falling off of Godzilla. Then the arm kept popping out, a piece of smoke from the building snapped off, it was just a lot of broken pieces for $80.He enjoyed the toy and said the details on each of the figures were amazing so I guess that's a plus. But as the adult who spent my own money, I wish the set was a smidge more durable.

Sent in a bag, not a box. Unacceptable for collectors.

This set has a lot of pieces smog Monster looks really cool, so does the Godzilla but it's the exact same one as in the destroyal monsters kit, and it's also the exact same one from the Godzilla versus King Ghidorah colorized set.
