Used this for brake booster to firewall and a few spots on HVAC airbox to replace original foam gaskets that fell apart. Easy to work with and get backing paper off. Sticks very well and foam is squishy for good seal. I hope it holds up over time.

Arrived early and as described

I purchased these to stop or reduce vibration in metal shelving in a room with a powerful subwoofer.These pads do the trick, applied to the shelf underside vibration sound is greatly reduced in the shelving and items sitting on them. That quieting has exposed other noise sources which aren't as easy to apply the padding (and maintain a good esthetic). Still, a worthwhile and inexpensive reduction of the problem. Cutting with sharp scissors was clean and easy. I will buy more if the need arises.

I ordered the 1/2" Thick 4 Inch X 4 Inch foam because I needed specifically 1/2" for a project. When the foam arrived it was actually 3/8" or 10mm thick. I was dealing with a tight schedule so I didn't have time to return it for another size. I made it work, but the results were not ideal.Cutting the foam is very difficult. I tried a brand new Xacto blade but it mainly just tore. I had best luck with a pair of industrial scissors but the scissors crushed the foam as it was cutting and left a curved wall on the cut pieces. Maybe a hot knife would work better?
