Disney's Hercules [Blu-ray] [Region Free]

Hercules is the Greatest Cartoon GOD story ever made I believe and it is a very special Gift to Bring to a World that otherwise would not know of the Land of The Gods.

Hercules is my favourite Disney film. For me it has the best storyline, best villain and best heroine. Without giving anything away; this is a Disney classic full of comedy, love and brilliant music and songs written by Alan Menkin. I have had every incarnation of this film and today received the blu-ray version - the difference is incredible and noticeable instantly. Crisp clear picture restores this 1990s film into the HD world so well, you'll wonder how you ever managed to watch the DVD version. I am so pleased that Disney have actually taken the time needed to lovingly restore what is mine and a lot of people's favourite Disney film. If you've never seen it, this is a must!

For some reason Disney often neglects this movie, while I personally consider it one of the best Disney Classics there is. The only special features on this disc are what was probably on the VHS release. The movie never really got a proper DVD release, so it doesn't even have good DVD quality special features. The most important thing is the movie though, and it has fantastic picture quality and the soundtrack was the best I'd ever heard it. Great movie. Hopefully Disney recognizes it has something here and gives it a proper release with new special features. Also, I had to import this from the UK even though I live in the US because the movie hasn't been released in the US on Blu-ray. Thankfully due to it being region free, that wasn't a problem!

Brilliant film

Finally, Hercules is on blu-ray! I'm happy to say that the picture quality does not disappoint, Hercules has never looked better! This is the release to go for. Unfortunatley, considering Hercules is one of Disney's black sheeps, the bonus features are the ones from the old DVD, and they're not that great. Making-of featurette, clip video, karaoke, with bad picture quality. When you think about it, it may be the best we get for Hercules, ever. Considering I'm buying it for the movie and nothing else, I'm cool with that. But to be honest, I'm still giving the blu-ray 5 stars, the picture quality is GREAT, the sound is good too.

Yes you read correctly, one of the best. Why? Its a simple movie of good vs evil, with a great story and brilliant characters, all mixed in with Disneys magical touch. If you are a Disney fan and haven't seen this yet, I recommend you buy this.

The slipcover never was protected, so it took me three times to receive a decent version of this Blu-ray with the slipcover in good condition, because if the slipcover is not protected the colours disappear. Now that I have a good copy, I can tell you this Blu-ray is the same as the US version of it, but includes more languages like Catalan.

Considering buying the blu-ray? DO IT! This is a brilliant restoration for blu-ray. The picture and sound are both incredible and the film has never looked this good.
