Great gadget!
Bought for my 11 year old son who is dyslexic. He’s still getting used to using it but it’s definitely given him more confidence to do school work more independently at school and at home. Will be invaluable for using in his SATS. Only downside is that sometimes it won’t read certain fonts but overall it’s brilliant.

Brilliant bit of kit
I brought this for my wife who's dyslexic it's very easy to use, as soon as she opened it she used it to read the instructions and was blown away by it. It will literally change her life, thank you for making her so happy

These are approved for exam use
The reading pen is well designed and reliable. My school SEN department uses them (I am a Deputy Headteacher who has supported both SEN departments and exams for many years). Reading pens can be very useful for students completing GCSEs.....but to use them in the exams they have to be their usual way of working.... Most schools I know use this pen. If you are thinking about a different pen, I would talk to your school to see what they use....you do not want your child to get their confidence knocked in an exam with an unfamiliar reading pen. Little things can really throw a student in an exam.

A complete waste of money
Gave this pen 0 stars but had to give one star to submit feedback. I got this pen for my son to help with his Reading as is dyslexic. A complete waste of a lot of money. 1) Not loud enough. Struggled to hear 2) Language keeps changing from English 3) Doesn't read words correctly. Very disappointed and now my son has been let down by this device, which wad recommended by his Special needs school

Great tool for dyslexic children or reluctant readers
I bought 2 pens for my dyslexic 12 year old twin boys. They were recommended by the school to be used during exams and english lessons. They are exam board approved. So far the boys have got on very well with them. They are very easy to use, lightweight, easy to transport and also come with headphones. They seem quite proud to be using them. We hope it will aid their reading and enable them not to have to wait for a classroom assistant to come and help them with text they are struggling with. With all the education cuts there is so much time pressure on teachers and children with dyslexia have to fend for themselves especially as coursework is now a thing of the past and all too much relies on the exam.

Can imagine very good, but disappointing for the use I had hoped.
The written instructions are too small for me and could be clearer for the start up. Too expensive for which I had hoped to use it.

I bought this reader pen for my 16 year old niece who thinks it is wonderful. She has dyslexia and has particular difficulties with reading comprehension, having the pen read the words aloud for her has meant she no longer has to re-read information four or five times before she has understood its content. She loved the fact the pen is small and light and can be slipped into her pocket. She uses her own headphones when in class and most people are not aware she uses one. She also can understand the more natural voice, as it does not have the 'Stephen Hawking' style voice. This pen has made such a difference to the amount of time she spends on her homework, and as she is studying for A Levels at the moment and has quite a bit of reading to do this can only be good. The other marvellous thing about this pen, is that it can be used for examinations like A Levels and does not require access arrangements. Unfortunately, the school did not understand the benefits of this pen, so I bought it for her.

Works very well
It has helped my daughter who is dyslexic is able to access books. She also uses it to gain independence as she uses it to read her posts, especially to guide her to read words she cannot pronounce.
