I've had this for almost a week now, and I have to say it's a fantastic product!I had considered the new T8 from Droid Box, but as I had previously looked at the Minix U1, I thought I'd give this a go after reading the many positive reviews.I definitely made the correct decision; it is absolutely lightning quick and very responsive. The layout is very intuitive with an apps page with all you would expect. Adding to them is a breeze with the PlayStore app.Kodi is pre installed, if that's your thing, and I doubt you will find a box on the market that can handle it as well as this one.I went for the option of the additional A3 air mouse and I must say it is a quality remote. It has the look and feel of something you would expect from Panasonic or Sony.If you're new to Android boxes, I would say please don't waste your money on cheap alternatives as you pay for what you get, and you would not regret this purchase. It is also future proof with OTG (on the go) updates.All in all, a fantastic piece of kit, hence the 5 star rating.

I ended up returning this minute Android strimmer back to Amazon because it did not do what I wanted it to do and perhaps I was expecting too much of the strimmer. I have a qnap LAN system in the house and I tend to stream 4K movies very high bit rates and I think this unit is useful for lower res movies that have less bytes but when your streaming 4K HDR from hakuna box you need a faster processor to manage it more effectively. However I've decided to look at alternatives and will probably use my oppo Blu-ray player instead. it is very well made and obviously you get what you pay for in terms of quality and specification and perhaps I haven't set it up correctly but with kodi I found it very difficult to use as a streamer and decided it was too much hassle with the end.

Upgraded from a Minix Neo 7 and this is way more advanced. as expected. Very easy to set up, and the system is very responsive. The air mouse is great too. Love the design of the Minix boxes. Connected through ethernet and have set up a wifi hotspot on the box which helps browse using other devices nearby, No lagging experienced at all so far. The box was packaged well. After a few OTA updates it was ready to use (love the ease of the updates too!) Very pleased!

The Minix Neo U9-H is a very fast android box with loads of memory. It does everything I need it to do. The Neo A3 remote is a good size and is very good as an air mouse. I do find that it eats through batteries though as the microphone seems to be on all the time as shown by the led light flashing while the Neo U9-H is powered up. I am not certain that this is a fault or not but it is good that I am using rechargeable batteries not normal ones as it would cost a fortune to run. Other than that I am very pleased with the units supplied

Streaming box is very well made and is in excellent condition but the cheap and nasty A3 Minix remote control has stopped working. It won't connect to the box at all and when it did connect before it regularly broke and failed to work at all for weeks at a time.

It's a very good product but falls behind the powerful Nvidia Shield Tv 2017.Minix Neo U9 plays full HD 1080p files perfectly aswell as 4K but it struggled to play a 50gb file, at 4K HDR, 10 Bit, with DTS. The video plays fine smooth but the audio gets de-synced later in in the movie. This same exact file plays perfectly on the Nvida Shield Tv 2017.4k HDR files that are up to 30gb 40gb running at 60fps plays smoothly. Or even 20gb perfectly. But I think it has issue playing a 10 Bit file. That's something you can experiment. But in my situation i like to watch 4K HDR 10 Bits files that are over 40gb or 50gb in file size and this didn't do it for me. I do give it credit for playing so many different video and audio formats which is amazing.1080p videos perfect.1080p 60fps perfect.4K files with no HDR or 10 Bit around 10gb 15gb perfect.4K over 40gb 50gb with HDR and 10 Bit might struggle to with some issues such as choppy video or out of sync audio.With the video play back issue over, the user interface is very unattractive it's not nice to look at. It's simple but seems slow when navigating, seems cluttered and borinf. I know you can install other launchers and make it look different but it's not a first good impression of the standard box user interface.Another annoying issue is when you want to type something in search u cannot even get into the box using the normal small mini remote. You have to use the gyroscope mouse button on the A3 remote then navigate to search box. Otherwise u cannot do it with the small remote. U have to use 2 controllers just to type something which is frustrating.The A3 controller also keeps turning off which is also frustrating I even replaced batteries twice. Same issue when I open YouTube I cannot type anything without using the A3 remote I cannot navigate to the search box using the circle buttons or up down left ride d pad. I have to enable the gyroscope use my mouse then hit on the search. Very disappointed with that.The microphone never worked on the controller.Slow to turn on compared to sleep mode and blazing fast turn on speed from the Nvida Shield 2017.You cannot connect your YouTube app on your phone with the YouTube app on the Minix Neo U9 again disappointed.Interface menu seems slow or very laggy.I do like the fact that it has full play store.Doesn't recognise 4tb or cannot access 4tb hard drives.YouTube app videos or thumbnails doesn't load even though I have very fast internet but it works flawlessly on the Nvida Shield Tv 2017.It doesn't have a native 4K Amazon app again very disappointing.Another disappointing issue is the task killer only clears cache it doesn't even close all running apps. While on the subject of closing apps you cannot close all running background apps all at once. You have to do them one by one and that to you can only use the A3 remote. You cannot and there is no way u can close a single app from the small mini remote again extremely disappointing.The mouse cursor while using the A3 is so annoying. If you go off to the right or to the edge of the screen it resets it and thinks your in the middle. I have to swing my mouse all the way so far to the left just to get the cursor in the middle. If I go all the way on the left or up and down it does the same thing. So annoying.UPDATE/BACK UP Crashes every time I turn on the machine.While playing video and you want to go toward a specific scene using the seek option its slow, while it's extremely super fast on the Nvidia Shield. On the Shield you can literally see every frame and scene, it really shows the power advantage. I know most people would say but it's more a mini gaming machine, yes but it's so much more with it for the power and easy to use.Minix Neu U9 is £149 while the Nvidia Shield is for £189, I rather pay little more and get a powerful device.Overall it's an excellent device for 1080p and small 4k files. it's very good but falls behind the blazing fast powerful Nvida Shield TV 2017.I suggest you pay little more get the Nvidia Shield TV 2017 version and get a faster, powerful video viewing experience, much better smooth responsive interface navigation, easy to enter search box, close apps, re arrange apps, play native 4K on actual Amazon app, better settings lay out, sleek design and I can go on about the Nvida Shield TV 2017.Good luck and do your research before buying this

Bonne qualité de produit.....mais l'appareil "bug" parfois....pourquoi ?? Pourtant dernière mise à jour faite , et regardé les test et avis avant de l'acheter, et.....2-3 mois après...bug...écran figé ...et quelques mois plus tard...idem !!! Processeur ? Puce vidéo ? Mémoire faible ?...j'aurai dû acheter la Nvidia Shield !!! ça m'apprendra à ne pas choisir mon 1er choix !
