Excellent case, nice and thin but expensive and a little loose on sides
Old Case:Very nice and slim bumper case! Fits around the S8 well apart from being a little lose on the sides (as reported by others too) but that shouldn't affects it's function to protect your phone from drops. Another alarming thing about this case is the price, £22.99 for a bumper is quite expensive for what it is to be honest. With all the bad points out the way, the case may look bulky in pictures or video but in practical use it is nice and slim! I thought exactly opposite, looking at reviews it looked really thick but it doesn't seem to be the case. Adding protection as well as grip onto the device which makes it ideal for the clumsy user (ie. myself). I ran into some issues with screen protectors however, tempered glass ones don't seem to do well with this case. Maybe the RhinoShield official screen protector might be better but I just purchased one for £5 on Amazon. I recommend using film protectors in this case. UPDATE: After a few months of usage the case needed to be sent back for warrenty purposes. The case became very loose, scruffy and damaged despite not dropping it. Amazon gave me a new one in return for the old. An update on the new version is that it's big improvement. No longer loose on the sides and infact very hard to get off the phone, the buttons are much easier to press in and I have to say that the quality overall feels better. We'll see over time how it stands up to everyday use.UPDATE 2: Not good, peels like the old case and still feels cheaply made. Stay away and buy something different

Really nice case
Used Rhinoshield since my OnePlus3 and have to admit that they are fantastic cases, never had an issue when I dropped my phone. The S8 case feels up to the same great quality as the OP3 case, although I haven't dropped my S8 and hope not to, I'm sure it will be well guarded and prevent cracking. The only downside to this case is the cutout size for the headphone port, you need a slim 3.5mm Jack to get in there, fine for headphones, but as a professional sound technician for events, it's more convenient for me to plug my phone in to a sound system rather than booting up another device. Unfortunately, most professional cables are thick due to extra interference shielding, so I have to remove the case, leaving my phone unprotected in a busy environment... Not a good mix.The case is also very well fitted, which is a great thing!... If you don't have to take it off the device to use the headphone port haha.

Keeps the look of your phone nicely
Not as grippy as expected but perfectly achieves the task of giving the phone some protection while not covering up the beautiful design, fits great nice and snug takes a little force to remove certainly don't believe it will just pop off if dropped,as stated would have liked a bit more grip but not dropped in the time we've had them and hopefully will add that bit of protection in case of accidents like in the demos and video's,hopefully I never have to find out though by not dropping it in the first place :)

Works with screen protector and doesn’t affect usability
Fits well and doesn’t push the screen protector off. I haven’t dropped it from 11 feet yet to see if it still protects the phone and, to be honest, I probably won’t rush into checking. If, by accident, I do drop it from 11 feet and it damages the phone I will tut loudly and remove a star or two from durability...It works well with the phones buttons, including the Apps Edge. Very pleased at the moment but only had a few days..

Quality product but does not play well with screen / back protectors.
It's seemingly a good bumper and does what it says. There's a bit of play on the longer sides as mentioned in other reviews but it does not seem critical. The packaging and the bumper itself look like a quality product, and while I think it takes off a bit of Galaxy S8's "classy look" it is as minimal as it could get with any type of casing for this phone. For me it was not the perfect type however. I was looking for something super-discreet and leaving both front and back panels visible, which I wanted to cover with a protector film and still retain a drop protection with Rhinoshield bumper. This did not work as Rhinoshield bumper will lift the protector film if it's a "non-case friendly" version (I personally have a Spigen wet-applied TPU film) and "case friendly" version which would work should have a gap between the bumper edges and the film edge, which is an obvious lint and filth trap. Yes, I know I'm quite anal retentive when it comes to phone protectors / cases...Bottom line - this seems to be a quality product but works perfect IMO only if you plan to leave the screen and back panels fully exposed.

I tend to take it on and off fairly regularly because the naked S8 feels gorgeous in the hand and slips comfortably into my trouser pocket
I bought this because the S8 is a slippery little sucker. It works well to protect the glass from scratches and, I guess, from being dropped having never tried it. I tend to take it on and off fairly regularly because the naked S8 feels gorgeous in the hand and slips comfortably into my trouser pocket. With the bumper on the phone feels noticeably bulkier although in truth the dimension differences are small. So if I am going out I slip on the bumper but around the house I slip it off. With it on it does make the phone easier to handle and you feel you can control and hold it more securely during calls, browsing, taking photos and handing it to friends. With the bumper on you can still use wireless charging.

Protection where it matters without making the phone feel chunky
After 5 different cases, I have finally found the one!I hate cases on my phone, but they are a necessity when 90% of the phone is covered with glass. This case feels barely there when held but has excellent protection where it matters.I only give 4 stars as the sides are a little loose near the buttons on both sides. not a deal breaker for me however.

Light and makes you feel safe from accidental damage
I have bought it as a replacement for another shock proof skin. This one just covers sides, but also defends front glass as top and bottom are raised, so when you put (or probably drop although I do not want to try it) it face down on the table, the glass does not toush the table. It is much lighter than skins covering back as well.Fully recommend it.
