Will any anti-perspirant improve a person's self-esteem? If it prevents them from reeking of hideous body odour then yes, perhaps it will. This Dove anti-perspirant stick is very good and very effective. It goes on smoothly, smells soapy and clean and, on me, is effective for 24+ hours.
