It’s a well made product and the only one you can use on an iPhone 16 pro and pro max. The mag grip is strong on a decent mag case. Bluetooth connects fast and is stable . I’ve shot both in portrait and landscape , much easier with the grip fitted. Annoyingly if you reconnect the grip it won’t connect Bluetooth you have to forget , turn off and on BT and try again. It’s worth the money, no shutter lag and no more dropping the phone . Great product for me as a photographer.

The SnapGrip isn’t meant to replace a camera or power bank — and it doesn’t claim to. What it does do is make your iPhone feel like a compact camera, with a comfortable grip and a shutter button that works for both photos (shutter release) and videos (start/stop). It doesn’t override any iPhone controls, so your Camera Control and Volume buttons still work normally. You still need to open the camera app before using the grip. The Bluetooth connection stays active for about 10 minutes, after which you “wake” it by pressing the shutter button. The built-in battery won’t fully recharge your iPhone — and it’s not the fastest — but it’s great for giving your phone a boost when you’ve been snapping away and can’t reach a power socket. The MagSafe hold is impressively strong, even through a case. It feels solid and well-made, giving a steady grip that makes photos and selfies much easier to take. It also doubles as a handy stand for portrait or landscape viewing. I’d love to see a zoom control added in future versions, especially at this price point. I would suggest that it is principally intended for 'photographers' like me who use their iPhones to take snaps and are fed up with getting their fingers in shot! I did have an issue with Bluetooth reconnecting — it required forgetting the device and pairing again, which was incredibly frustrating. However, ShiftCam’s customer service was outstanding. They patiently worked with me over email and, when the problem couldn’t be fixed, they quickly arranged a replacement. The new unit works perfectly, and after 48 hours of testing, I’m confident it’s ready for my upcoming vacation. I’m even considering adding the SnapPod tripod/selfie stick to my kit. 4 stars only because my first unit didn’t work out of the box — but this product is just what I wanted and ShiftCam’s customer care is top-notch.

Excellent addition to my phone

Took this gadget on holiday recently and tbh I used it more as a grip than a shutter button. My right thumb was better placed to tap the mobile shutter button and I found it easier to use that way. The SnapGrip ended up being a useful grip the whole time. Found the SnapGrip shutter button a fraction slower than I wanted, maybe the bluetooth didn't work as fast as it should have done. Connection was on the mobile and not through a case so I expected better & faster. Battery life lasted a good 8hrs. Overall, not really impressed and I'll probably sell it on come Easter. A cheap solid grip would be more useful.

I bought this for my Galaxy S23 Ultra with magsafe case. I was always frightened of somebody bumping in to me and my phone going flying while I held the edges of my phone. This grip is excellent. No matter how hard I shake it, the phone stays on. I can enjoy taking photos again without the stress of thinking I might drop my phone. It automatically turns on when I snap the grip on to my phone. I set up a bixby routine that says if I'm connected to the snapgrip and it is wirelessly charging, open the camera app. It works great 🙂.

Really like the idea of this, but now doubting my decision. It’s feels good in isolation, good idea to have the Qi charge as a selectable option. However, If you order only the grip, you don’t get any form of protective case, very disappointing, no option I’ve found to even option one. There is no way to turn off the Bluetooth on the grip when you’ve finished, you have to turn off the phones Bluetooth to force snap grip to sleep. This seems a silly and pretty basic oversight. With the grip on a 13 Pro Max, you can’t see the lights, and it makes the whole setup uncomfortably thick. Now the potential fatal flaw, the MagSafe magnet feels very weak, not sure I can bring myself to trust it. It doesn’t ‘snap’ to the phone with any confident feeling, this is to a genuine apple MagSafe case, the key magnet is all but absent, barely any resistance. Now I’ve given the phone and grip a good shake in safety, and it’s not dropped off, but I’m not sure an accidental knock would see my phone tumbling to its doom. Trying hard to convince myself not to return it. Edit: I’ve since used it for a day walkabout taking pictures, the shutter button is horribly laggy , the button isn’t a nice feel, you need to press and fully release for the photo to be taken, unlike a normal camera, which would take image on press, and it’s a fairly ‘long throw’ press, feels uncomfortable and unnatural to use, and on a few occasions it refused to react. This will end up in the returns warehouse, maybe I’ve got a faulty one, not sure.

💯. Got this and the light for my Galaxy S23 ULTRA. I have a leather case which adds weight. The provided magnetic ring adhered to the leather well. This is a powerful magnet. Attaching the handle to the case is easy AND EXTREMELY secure. Versatile. The Bluetooth connection is sound and allows for single and rapid shots. See photos of the combination Highly recommend.

This is great but the downside is that if your phone goes into sleep mode the Bluetooth connection is lost and without asking the phone to forget it, trying to reconnect is tricky. The advantage is that it gives more sturdiness to taking photos, due to the magnetic grip and less likely to get fingers in the shot. I just wish the thing didn’t lose the connection, it fits well in my bag when not connected though and as I got it in the prime sale the price was fair. I think I’ll have to consider the next one up in order to not have the worry of connection loss so frequently.

Works very well. First bought a cheaper copy. Same grip but the bluetouth connection is far better on thisone.

Ich fand die Idee schon gut, als ich es fürs iPhone 11 Pro gekauft hatte. Es macht genau was es soll. Auch mit dem iPhone 16 Pro Max kein Problem. Hier ist zwar bereits ein Knopf fürs Knipsen dran, oder am Clip ist aber angenehmer, da man den Finger so halten kann, wie „früher“ am Fotoapparat. Das Glut auch für Hochkantbilder

Le support magnétique reçu n’avait ni aimant ni autocollant pour le fixer sur le téléphone. Sans doute une erreur de production mais quoiqu’il en soit, il m’est donc impossible de monter le grip sur mon mobile. De plus, une fois connecté en Bluetooth, le bouton de prise de vue de la poignée zoom quand j’appuie dessus et ne déclenche pas de photo. Même après avoir réinitialisé la connexion sur le grip et mon téléphone, le problème reste le même. Je vais donc renvoyer le produit. Dommage car la prise en main était très bien.

Works perfectly with my Google Pixel 10 Pro XL. Pairing was seamless. Just put the SnapGrip into pairing mode along with my phone and was ready to take some photos. I tried the KraftGeek and found it didn't keep the phone from swinging/moving around on the magnet... there were no traction pads. Also, there is the vertical magnet facing towards the circle of magnet on the SnapGrip in addition to the outside traction pad. The KraftGeek traction pads (near the edge and not along the magnet ring as with the SnapGrip) had a gap between the phone and the grip where the traction pads were. I liked it for the price and decided to try the SnapGrip as a last resort, which was pricier, but decided to give it a try since having this attachment style is important to me. If the description is hard to follow, check some photos and that may help put things into a little more prespective. The build quality is solid and the packaging/presentation was nice. Hopefully this hold up with time. Regarding my application use. I'm married and a father with three children. My children are pre-teen with lots of school events and extra-curricular activities. I found it a challenge while at one of my children's cross country runs to keep the phone stable and press the side control buttons to take photos while keep the camara on my intended target. The SnapGrip from a form-factor perspective in terms of tactile function with my fingers leaves it simple for me to find the camera trigger with my hand while focusing on the picture screen opposed to where my hand is at on the phone and trying to keep a secure picuture... there's a lot going on lol. The grip makes it easy for me to point and shoot. Awesome addition for me being able to focus on descent family photos. I found no issues in terms of fitment on my Pixel Pro 10XL. It is also portable and easy to care in a compact satchel while I have it stored before use. I definitely recommend the ShiftCam SnapGrip for parents on the move trying to capture life's precious moments...
