Exactly why I want

I bought this to be both beautiful and functional. I have trouble with distractions, and time getting away from me, so this was intended to serve as a visual nanny, keeping me on task here at my desk. But the glass is very reflective, almost iridescent, to the point where it's hard to see the sand. Not going to work for me.

It was smaller than I expected (ha) but I was fine with that until I went to take the 30 minute sticker off and it shattered. Just remember you get what you pay for my friends.

I got this to time without screens. It is beautiful and meditative. I knew from looking into these that they are not guaranteed to be exactly on the dot with time. Note that and don’t expect preciseness from any sand timer. This was almost exactly 31 minutes. I’m well pleased.

A bit of moisture in mine. But when it works its within 1 minute of an hours. The bi of moisture inside can cause it to freeze up completely. You dont really have this issue with full size hour glasses. Spend three times more to get the one you really want

I use it by my computer to remind me to look away and focus my eyes at different points
