Excellent for salad and herbs
Very impressive. I use this to keep the contents of two salad bags and after a week the leaves were still fresh. I also have two small ones for herbs, spring onions and peeled garlic, and they work just as well. Two things to note: a) don't forget to remove the plastic wrap around the filter in the top insert, otherwise no ethylene will get absorbed (!), and b) although the instructions recommend shutting the vent on top of the insert for salad and herbs, I have found that in practice they keep better with the vent open as this allows excess humidity to evaporate.I also have the drawer insert and that is also very impressive, but in that case you do need to close the vents at the top of the drawer (if your fridge allows for that). This really works. No more wilted leaves!

Extends shelf life, pain to clean and pick up.
Excellent product. Definitely extends shelf life of leafy greens. Has no handles so always requires two hands to pick up and the colander inside is a bit of a pain to clean (like all sieve type items) if you have a dishwasher that won’t be an issue. Does take up a lot more room in the fridge than a bag would, but equally watercress that normally goes gross and squelchy in a couple days in the bag stays fresh for a whole week now!

Great product
Great for storing salad and soft fruit. Storage life is extended. I’ve had a couple for many years and use them all the time. Don’t worry that the seal isn’t burp tight as a famous make used to say. These do work. Just bought the largest size so I can extend the life of green veg, as we do not know when we will get another supermarket delivery.

Good but spares would make it great
I’ve had the 1.5 and 4 Litre boxes for a few days now. These are all about reducing food waste. If OXO is serious about offering environmentally friendly products it would offer spare parts. The lid that holds the filter has plastic hinges. They haven’t broken yet but a cursory search shows OXO doesn’t offer replacement lids 😩The filters need replacing every four months and there’s a little chart that shows whether you should keep the filter lid ajar or closed depending on whatever is in the container. This is obscured by the filter itself. No problem if you always keep the same thing in the container.I’m going to add a little reminder in my phone to prompt me to order new filters. It may be OTT but OXO could offer a little app that prompts you to replace your filters and allows you to look up your fruit or vegetable to see whether it should have the vents open or closed. Going further the app could provide veg storage tips perhaps, a filter re-ordering mechanism and spare parts, not to mention marketing opportunities for OXO itself.

Keeps salad much fresher than just using the bag
Since we started using this, none of our salad has gone manky. It's not huge, will only really fit in a smallish bag, but it does it well and we'll be getting more of these in the near future. The only downside is that the lid just sits on top, it's not a proper 'click in place' like most plastic containers. This isn't enough to detract from it though.

Salad/ Vedgetables, Here I come.
This is very handy for keeping prepared lettuce fresh/crisp in the fridge for a week along with any other salad vedgetable that requires the same storage instruction; once prepared you only need to plate up each day and eat. Such a time saver if your constantly dieting like me as you only need to prepare a salad once, for the week. I use this one for lettuce and celery and I keep radishes/ peppers, toms and cucumber in the long box and fruit in the smaller box. Storage instruction varies with different produce ( there is a vent to close or stay open as needed). Quality product.

As good as they say
This keeps my greens for a week. Spinach or salad leaves stay fresh and crispy no wet limp smelling leaves. Only negative it did take some rearrange to fit in my under counter fridge but no problem in a larger fridge I would guess. It fits length wise on one shelve but I had to adjust height to get it to fit.

Doesn't keep salad fresh at all!
I bought this to try and avoid the salad-in-the-bag mush you get after a while keeping salad. I decanted my salad into this container, filter in, and top shut as per instructions for veggies. Less than a day later my salad was wilted and limp (which was straight out of a fresh salad bag). The lid is loose and not air tight, so I cant understand how this would possibly work - and it doesnt. What a waste of money for both the "produce keeper" container and the salad.A huge shame, but as I used it, I cant see me getting my money back.
