Fairly large, quiet and effective.
Easy to set upReally quiet when it's running.water in tank is now crystal clear.I would recommend soaking the inlet and outlet pipes in hot water then hanging them straight down so they straighten out as they initially stay curled up after unpacked.

Decent enough for the price
This is a nice, quiet and cheap little canister filter that does the job well enough. I bought it to replace an internal filter that died on me and so far so good. The set up is a little bit tricky getting it primed with no air bubbles in the flow, but once you get it going, it's perfect, completely silent and filters well. If you're struggling, this is basically a re-branded filter which sells in the states under the brand name Sunsun, so if you're struggling with the setup, I recommend searching for Sunsun canister filter setup on YouTube and you'll find loads of videos of people walking you through it. This is handy because if it does get trapped air, it's hideously noisy and the flow is awful, but once you get it going well, it's perfect. Mine is set up about a metre below the tank. There's loads of space for media, as well as a couple of little trays and it comes with plastic ball media and three sponges of different coarseness. I removed the balls and replaced them with Seachem Matrix, which has been fuss free and I had plenty of room to put the old sponges from my old filter in for a few weeks to allow the tank to keep stable and bacteria to breed easily from the old media. Honestly, I still feel like the flow is very soft in my 150L tank, but my fish are all low flow lovers anyway, so I'm okay with that, but if you need a rapid flow, i would look elsewhere. Overall, a good filter for a great price, but priming it is a little tricky and the low flow sort of goes against it. Depending on your application, you can decide if this is a heavy count against it or not.

External filters are the way to go
Easy to install, so easy to clean , looks fantastic easy to hide in cabinet under fish tank, fits perfectly, filtration quality loving it , has given us more space in tank for plants and more fish, do no why we didn't go for an external filter before would recommend and at a great price

Wouldn’t recommend to my worse enemy
I got this as a replacement for a 15 year old 205 fluval external pump. When the pump arrived I was very disappointed setting it up, it was flimsy, the clips to hold the lid on kept falling off, inlet pipe was crushed despite the box being in prefect condition. When i finally manage to set it up, behold it’s got air leaks, water leaking from the bottom seal from behind the pump, the pump can’t get enough water out of the tank due to the inlet pipe being crushed.Absolute waste of money, I was that upset that I’d wasted £45 on this that I’ve took a hammer to it and thrown it in the recycling bin where it belonged.I honestly wish this review was fake, but it’s true.Avoid avoid avoid buying this just stick with the fluval ones should have taken my own advice!Massively disappointed with this product and the fact they have put their name on it is even worse, just shows they’re willing to push rubbish out just to get the money in.

Finest filtration unit of them all.
I have so much to say about this external filter. It's super easy to setup, i like how the lid gets sucked into position once sealed. I like how it's easily accessible to take parts out to fix. I like how it comes with all the filters that needs no replacement unless you want too. I like how easily cleanable the filters, filter pods, filtration unit, lid tubes water drainage, water sprayer is. I like that i can store this unit anywhere as i dont like units taking up space within my turts tank. The appearance is minimal though does look like a science experiment happening i sort of like it. Noise level of the unit is barely there. You'll feel it vibrate if your hand is on it but you wont hear anything unless you're clean water is sprouting out in your pond or tank. You can easily adjust the sound of your clean water flow. Quality of the unit is fare, though i do wish the motor part wasn't so easily rotatable. However no leakage or airblocks are found as the unit is in perfect order.5/5 satisfied only with one flaw i stated late above.

Great at filtering the water but leaks after a long period of use
The filter worked for a while and kept the water clean, but started leaking. Have experienced this issue before with similar filter by same brand - so can only assume this type of item has a short life span which is frustrating considering the cost and the quality associated with the brand name.

Great!!
This is a really good little external filter! I’ve had this for about 3 months now and not once had any issues with it, it’s easy to setup, clean and it’s so quiet. Definitely worth every penny.
